The staff are amazing! The manager is really sweet, friendly (and also really cute). The hallways are well-maintained and smell fresh, which was a nice change from the last place we stayed. The room was perfectly clean, with sheets and bedding that looked brand new. Plenty of towels, face cloths, soaps, etc., were provided. The location is convenient and close to the highway, yet we didnāt hear any noise from it. The free breakfast in the morning (oatmeal, tea, coffee, muffins) was a nice touch. It seems there are some long-term residents here, and most people are very friendly. I rarely book for more than a week, as we've had bad experiences with places offering such low rates, but this time I extended my stay for the full month. There's also a guest laundry that takes coins or credit cards, as well as vending machines.

I have been a resident for some time The experience overall has been ok, bad and great. For the past several months the experience has been awful. For several months the GM left alot to be desired. I repeatedly for several months, every couple of days, reported the filthy carpet; clogged bathroom sink, broken drapery rod and missing toilet paper roll to mention a few things.GM (Leslie) ignored everything. Her answer to everything was I am trying, I am working on it or I am doing the best I can. She disappeared (I assume she was fired). Good news! The dream team - Emily and Jason arrive. The sink gets fixed, drape gets fixed and a toilet paper roll appears. Filthy carpet is being addressed..Imagine this, I mentioned the light bulb over my stove burned out----it was replaced the same day Lobby and halls are cleaner Apparently the staff has been spoken to about their rudeness, etc It has shown some improvement. I also see a change in the quality of the guests. It has improved In my opinion the quality of this hotel will continue to improve with Emily and Jason in charge Maybe it will get an excellent Go Emily and Jason!!!!

2.5 Stars... Not great, not horrible. Good location to freeway, not far from downtown Pittsburgh, musty smell in the room, but it was clean and gave us a place to stay for a couple of days while we saw our daughter at Parent's weekend. Breakfast consisted of coffee, granola bars, and (not good) muffins.

We showed up early for a birthday weekend celebration to see the Steelers Game. We were told in an extremely rude manner that we could not check in early (which we understood), we were told also that they under no circumstances would hold our 1 backpack until check in (or during the game) which all other hotels do in the area. We were beyond frustrated at the lack of a simple I'm sorry, or that's not our policy, just a very rude NO! Then we asked well, do you have a restroom we could use as we just flew in and took an uber to the hotel....well no surprise we were again told NO! We were told to go use a gas station "down the street". Down the street was almost a mile away! So we did not even check in. We walked the mile, used the restroom, called an uber and had to struggle to find another hotel to stay in on an extremely busy weekend. We will NEVER stay at an Extended Stay America hotel and I warn anyone not to go to this hotel in Carnegie as they were unnecessarily hostile and rude while we were just asking simple questions and making basic requests. I warn everyone do NOT go anywhere near this hotel and the rude staff that are employed there!!!

When you have a job that takes you from city to city, the rarest of rare things is feeling at home. This establishment, diamond in the rough though it may be, made me feel at home. Welcome. Leslie (apologies if I got her name wrong, Iām notoriously bad at that,) manages a home-away-from-home hotel. She runs a tight ship, and kept it tidy, quiet and inviting. I actually looked forward to coming āhomeā at night. The only negative to speak of was when my keycard wouldnāt let me into my room and it took me twenty minutes to find the evening shift employee who seemed as if I was a bother. That aside, when I find Pittsburgh back on our itinerary, I will be looking forward to putting my feet up here once again.
