Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carlisle Southwest I 81 an IHG Hotel

First time at this hotel but have stayed at surrounding hotels for years. 4 night stay. Hotel is new-ish. Rooms were pretty clean. Nothing fancy but thats ok. Requested non-highway side but didn’t get it. Noise was very very loud. Definitely keeps you up at night. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Had ice machines. Laundry. Fridge and microwave.

We had a wonderful stay. Hotel was very clean & everyone was friendly. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast had alot of options & was fresh. Plenty of parking, close to downtown shopping. Will stay again when we travel back to carlisle in the future.

We have stayed here for two years on our way to and from FLorida. It is quite new and convenient to the highway, The rooms are large and comfortable as is the bathroom. The colors are bright and cheery. The parking is spacious and convenient to the building.

On August 11, 2023 I was checking into this hotel, on a reservation. When the onsite manager found I had a service dog, because I mentioned him, she demanded I leave the property. I am a 100% disabled Veteran. She stated they had no rooms on the first floor and I could not go to the 4th floor room I had keys for. Segregation is clearly against ADA rules, but the Manager, Tanya, didn't care. She demanded I leave and when I didn't comply she called the police. The police officer was able to convince the manager to allow me, my wife and 85 year old mother-in-law to stay in our room, explaining what she was doing was against the law. I was made to feel less than human and ridiculed in front of everyone in the lobby. It took nearly three hours to get into our room. We hadn't eaten dinner and were tired after driving all day.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough! We stayed here while visiting friends in Carlisle. The hotel is like new, everything bright, fresh, clean. We had just had a less than stellar stay at a Doubletree near Pittsburgh, so we were relieved when we got here. Plenty of parking. Staff are extremely friendly and always said hi when we walked by. Our room was spotless, modern and cleaned daily. The breakfast service was great -- variety of yogurts, cereals, hot foods, bagels and pastries, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal. The location is good, too. Near the freeway and services like gas/food. So glad our friends recommended this one to us!
