First I'll say the staff was amazing. Always friendly and helpful. It's also a great location with restaurants nearby and the highway close. But unfortunately the rooms are now awful. We've stayed at this hotel a handful of times over the years and each year the condition of the rooms significantly declined. This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. Hopefully improvements are made because we'd love to return.

What an abysmal excuse for a hotel. I made the mistake of staying here one night mid October for a concert in Pittsburgh. I ended up leaving a stuffed animal in my hotel room on the bed (god forbid a person forgets something, we are human). This item was VERY sentimental. I called the hotel the very next morning and there began a 3-4 week goosechase of tracking down an item. First off, not having an organized process that all staff should be upheld to follow for lost and found items, is unreal for a hotel that is a Hilton affiliate and prides itself on customer service. My SO even went to the hotel in person 5 days after my stay to be met by a rude, judgmental housekeeping manager, Ms. Todd. The room that I had stayed in had an extended stay guest in it so. 1. my SO was not able to physically search the room on his own and 2. the housekeeping manager refused to let him directly speak the housekeeper that cleaned the room after my stay, so he couldn’t speak with them. He was, however, able to look thru the laundry room and some but not all of the housekeeping cabinets. Some staff closets were code protected so he couldn’t check those. Front desk staff told my SO that a handful of people had also reported missing items around that time, which to me seemed incredibly fishy. I called Ms Todd and she passive aggressively reminded me of the hotel liability policy, then told me “maybe you left it in the parking lot” before she hung up on me. By week 2 I had escalated to Hilton corporate as nobody at this hotel including staff and managers seemed to want to give the simple answer to the question: where did my item go? Thru the help of Hilton corporate, I got ahold of the GM Rob once, who stated he would speak with the housekeeper who cleaned my room one-on-one, and he would give me a call back. Well, he never did, and he consistently dodged all phone calls after that. Who knows if he ever actually spoke with the housekeeper. By the end of week 3, I got ahold of the associate manager Kim (only because I had escalated to Hilton corporate, this hotel would have continued to dodge my calls had I not) who just said the item was nowhere to be found after they reportedly conducted a thorough search of the room 12-14 days after another guest had stayed there. So…where did my item go? Because why would I spend 3-4 weeks of my time, why would my SO go to the hotel in person, if my item was indeed with me? As a family with kids, do not for a second think that if your child leaves something behind that you’ll end up ever getting it back at this place. On top of all this, dirty and filthy rooms, furniture cushions had bodily fluid stains on it. Trash hotel, stay away.

Rubbish hotel with service to match. My bedside lamp and charging dock were inoperable as the wall socket was dead, as was its nearby brother. The shower gel dispenser fell off the shower wall. I asked for these to be repaired and for my room to be serviced. I was assured this would be tended to. NOTHING WAS DONE. My 2 night stay cost $486. This hotel is rubbish and hopelessly overpriced. Please stay elsewhere. Btw rooms are only serviced every other day, obviously to save Hilton costs. This is typical of Hilton standards and I will avoid this chain in future.

Stayed here previously and it was a great stay…..This time, well, not so much. We arrived Monday afternoon (just my husband and I) and we reserved a standard room not a suite that we had on our last visit. So, I understood that the ROOM would be smaller….. We were given ROOM 503…..It is the smallest room that I have stayed in since our NYC or European trips. It was small, dark, in a corner with a view of a brick wall….the small kitchen area was not lighted and there was no couch (or room for a couch) that I saw in the room pictures….What a disappointment……Never again, Homewood Suites….. The breakfast was great and we appreciated the laundry room….. Love the Canonsburg area but I will look elsewhere to stay…..

I have seen a lot of negative reviews on this hotel lately. That was not my experience. The room was Clean. I traveled with my brother and nephew. We need 3 beds, so I booked a room with a sofa bed. Previous guest broke the sofa bed we notified the desk and they gave us a new room. We enjoyed the breakfast, the pool and hot tub. They had a fire pit outside, but we couldn't use because of rain. The room rate I got was great. To people with the negativity . Was the room really that dirty. I was in 2 different room and had not found it dirty. I suggest if you are that overly critical maybe you should go to a hotel that cost $1000.00 a night. I am sure you won't though.
