La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Harrisburg Hershey

The pet policy on the website is different from what's posted on a piece of printer paper taped to the wall at the front desk. False advertising and the bait and switch is enough to make me not want to stay there again. However the hotel grounds were kept clean and well lit. The room was clean but drywall and ceiling had some damage.

Clean, neat and comfortable. The lighting was odd, especially in the loo, where there was no light for the mirror or sink. Otherwise the room was really comfortable and quiet and clean. The check-in service was exceptional. There is ample parking with nice relief areas for the hounds.

We were here for cheer comp, the rooms were good. Although there were some issues. The water in the shower leaked and was coming up from the bathroom floor, and the stairwell carpet needed cleaning. Over all, it wasn't terrible. It did what we needed. We did not see any bugs as one of the reviews I had seen.

The Hotel overall wasn't bad, it was clean and had a decent enough free breakfast. Rooms were good sized and beds were comfortable. Looked like they had just renovated as there was some clear signs of bathroom work done. Nothing gross but not eye pleasing. The biggest gripe was the noise levels, they must have built this place out of cardboard because every step taken either in the hallway, stairwell or room above was heard. I don't know what people were doing at night but it sounding like elephants running around above us, all hours of the night.

Nice place to stay. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in in quite some time. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast Sunday morning was wonderful. The room key was a bit touchy and didn't always work the first time, but that could have been use error on my part.
