Holiday Inn Express Eugene Springfield an IHG Hotel

We spent one night here on a 3 week road trip. This was one of the nicest HI Expresses. My husband enjoyed the hot tub. Beds were comfortable, service was good, location was a bit back from the road so quiet and not too hard to find. We walked over to the Hops Brewery restaurant within a 2-3 minute walk. It was very good! We were very tired and this was a great place to stay after we explored Portland and chose to drive a bit farther.

The breakfast was really good here and enjoyed using the workout room as well as the pool one afternoon, though the pool was quite chilly! I stayed just a few days for a business trip traveling alone though some other people in my business meetings stayed at the same hotel. The room was nice and comfortable. As a hiker, I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the waterfalls and hikes with wildflowers after work within an hours drive. The Spirit falls and Culp Creek or Row River trail were my favorite.

I apologize for the lateness of this review….life gets in the way sometimes……..I stayed at this hotel Nov 2023 over thanksgiving to visit my son in Springfield. From the time I walked in the front door, I was greeted by Matt…..he could not have been more welcoming or helpful…….he assigned me room #505 and I went up to inspect……..please note, I am a person that uses Lysol wipes on EVERYTHING coming in and upon departure…..I did this before moving in all my stuff and could not find 1 speck of dirt or uncleanliness ANYWHERE…..the room was SPOTLESS! OK….I am already impressed…….on the 3 trips and luggage cart full of my crap, I finally get moved in…….I am still impressed every time I open the door! The room is HUGE (I got a king bed with sofabed but never expected all this room!) and all my stuff fit easily………I tell them that I never want to leave 😊……..Everyday I go downstairs to go to my son’s place…..I am always greeted warmly by Matt and/or Dina……..Dina and I even come up with a running joke about how she is ALWAYS there…….she is there when I leave and when I come back….usually longer than 8 hrs…..she jokes that she has a cot in the back 😊 I went downstairs shortly after arrival to speak to the manager, Kerstin to tell her how totally impressed I am with the room and the staff…….I tell her how clean the room is and how happy I am about it………About a week later, it was time to do laundry……I go to the front desk to ask for a roll of quarters……Anica could not have been more pleasant and acted like I was the most important person in the room…..I never need this but it is wonderful when it happens……over the next week, I see all these people on an ongoing basis and they begin to feel like friends……..I NEVER had an uncomfortable moment here……..and OMG! I just need to say how well I slept…..I never sleep well in hotels due to slamming doors and loud guests, but because this room had a separate bedroom, I NEVER heard anything……..this was completely my home for the 2 weeks I was there…….I asked Dina at the front desk who cleaned my room before I got there because they did such an amazing job….I was told it was Kati……..I never met her, but a huge shoutout and THANK YOU to her! I will never stay anywhere else when in Springfield…..my next visit in Nov 23, 2024……so get ready! Just a word about the breakfast buffet…..I only ate there twice during my 2 weeks….the first morning and the last…….it has everything u ever need to have a good breakfast……nothing special but hot and filling…….want a big pricey breakfast? Many places to eat within walking distance. A big thank u to everyone at Holiday Inn Express Springfield for making my stay so enjoyable and making me want to come back ASAP!

Great value, close to EVERYTHING - local sports bars, breweries, gas stations, Duluth Trading, Cabelas, EVERYTHING. This is the one of the coolest hotel locations I've stayed anywhere in the US. Indoor pool and also a really nice hot tub/Jacuzzi. Not a bad choice by any means.

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times over the years on our way to and from California. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are your typical Holiday Inn rooms with nice Dove bathroom accessories. Breakfast is included and there are restaurants near by for lunch and dinner.
