Promenade Inn & Suites Oceanfront

Booked a room many months in advance. Hotel calls me on 03/11/2025 and says that Booking.com made a mistake in the pricing and now it will be 400% more per night. I declined their offer because my reservation was already confirmed months ago. The Prominade Inn then informed me that if I show up my confirmed reservation will not be honored. After this call I went back to Booking.com and chatted with their customer service reps and they had no clue this was happening behind the scenes. As far as they are concerned the reservation is confirmed and there are no errors on their end. I then filed a complaint with OREGON DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE CIVIL ENFORCEMENT DIVISION for unfair trade practices. Fast forward to today 04/15/2025 and I received a call from the Hotel stating that my reservation has now been reinstated. I have seen other reviews regarding the same matter. If you run into this please contact the Oregon Dept of Justice Civil Enforcement Division and file a complaint. There are protections in place for consumers when businesses practice bad business.

They claim to have "made a mistake" in our rate, which was a special discount of 118 for 2 nights. Now it's over 500 dollars, months later. That'd be quite a "mistake", and I'm not naive enough to believe that. They claim to be under new management, but the old management couldn't have been much worse. Apparently, they just finished renovations and probably just want their money's worth. If you're still booked with them, cancel before the last 24 hours. They deserve no better.

Used to stay at this hotel when it was Shilo Inn. Although the rooms were dated and disgusting we stayed because of the ocean view and the staff were amazing. We stayed a total of 60 nights in 2023. In 2024 new ownership took over, promising updates and wonderful things ahead. All they did was raise our rate, no sense of loyalty for our 17 years of loyalty to Shilo Inn and telling them we would be staying 60 or more nights in 2024. They didn't care and we were treated rudley and put in the same old dirty room with one elevator and no hot tub. I'm glad they treated us so poorly as we have found a new hotel to stay which is very clean, free breakfast and they appreciate our visits every month we come up from Utah and stay 10 days a month. Thank you Promenade for not caring about a loyal customer who comes monthly as we found a great, clean, friendly, appreciative new place to stay in Seaside.

Best place to stay in Seaside. We stayed a week at the Promenade. What an awesome time. The facility is ideally situated right on the beach adjacent to the historic Lewis & Clark turnaround Monument. Great beach and ocean views from our room. Couldn't get enough of the balcony. Rooms are a little dated. Carpet and bathroom fixtures are old, BUT the rooms are huge, beautiful, and have a gas log fireplace! Pool and hottub are sweet. Awesome. Enjoy

I have stayed at the Promenade Inn & Suites a few times for business and vacation. The location is perfect. It is close to everything and parking is right next to the hotel. I've always booked the Oceanfront Suites with a balcony and love the view and that they welcome dogs. My dogs loved sitting out on the balcony catching the air and people watching. The kitchenette was convenient to have and useful. It is not a fully stocked kitchen so you'll need to buy or bring the basics such as salt, coffee, and whatever you tend to use a kitchen for. This wasn't an issue- but more an FYI. The building must be made of concrete because one negative is that my cell phone would not pick up any signal in my room. Any phone calls required me to walk downstairs and too the parking lot behind the building which wasn't overly convenient. The actual hotel could really use a renovation. The rooms are a bit worn and the door frame was broken in the room we stayed at. The cost on the oceanfront rooms is high because it is oceanfront, but to command that the hotel should do some fix up's. This was just taken over by new ownership from Shilo Inn, but the work needed to fix this up is daunting and almost seems like a rebuild. Love that Mo's Seafood is right below the hotel rooms. Would I book here again? Yes- I would because of the convenient location, but if I found a better option I would consider that if it checked all the boxes.
