La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salem OR

I read some of the reviews but as there are not many options to choose from in that area, I chose the Wyndham. Arrived on Sunday for 4 nights. Dinner options are non existent. There is 1 restaurant in the hotel across the road, but it was cold and rainy so I stayed in. Only food options are snacks and microwave junk food. The room was ok but the bed was lumpy. Had a walk in shower that I love but gravity and the one door meant the bathroom floods every time you shower. Housekeeping was fine until Wednesday when they didn't bother to clean or service the room. Nothing like getting back to an unmade bed and wet towels. Reported this to the front desk and they didn't care. When I checked out all was well. I get home and discovered that my credit card had been scammed for over $400. Called them - they denied it. Called the bank and disputed the charges. Don't stay here!

looking at the other reviews...if you're looking for a luxury hotel this is not it, if you're looking for a resort this is not it...if you ARE looking for a basic room at a great price point I would have no qualms about recommending this place. The breakfast buffet was better than I expected it would be. There's no restaurant on site, but a great Mexican place (Margarita's) is conveniently located right across the street and is open late.

Housekeeping needs to step up their game. If this is part of the Wyndham club, need to represent. Awful stay. Glad it was one night. Hair in shower from last folks stay. Top sheet was dirty. Some of the lights did not turn on. Only for few hours. D

The air conditioner had an awful smell. When I looked, the filter had built up dust around the edges. I asked for them to clean it but they didn’t. Overall, the room needs to be deep cleaned. There were flakes of enamel missing from the tub and the bathroom door needs repainting.

i was a 1,000 miles from home and i had enough for my reservation price and credit card for incidentals . the price was different then my reservation price . he was charging me 14 dollars more then my card had . room was 383.00 with all taxes and room fees . i had 0ver 450.00 on my card .. that i did not under stand, he would not lower the price 14 dollars so i had somewhere to stay until my plane in three days . he sent me with no where to go and didn't care
