Portlander Inn and Marketplace

Friendly, accommodating staff. Switched us to an accessible room as I needed a shower chair & the people who'd booked the accessible room just booked it as it was the only room available. Staff arranged the switch without any problem. Traffic was moving faster than it usually does so we called the hotel and asked if we could check in earlier than we were slated to and they responded that our room was ready and we could check in early with no problem. Food from the deli and restaurant, which are part of the complex, was tasty though the restaurant is pretty expensive, very few options under $18, at least they were open on Easter, the deli was not. There's also a convenience store in the building which came in handy for the coffee filters we forgot to bring for our full size coffeemaker (we don't do small amounts of coffee from single-cup pots). There's even a cinema in this building but despite being here for 5 days we didn't have time to take advantage of it so can't rate that amenity. The rooms were clean, pillows were plentiful. TV was a good size with enough channels to satisfy most people am sure. As a bonus there was a pair of Osprey nesting atop a light post with a special platform in the parking lot we could view from our room. Watching those huge, beautiful birds flying about together, dancing on the wind made every day a great day!

Can't say enough good things about the Portlander Inn. First off, it's a huge truck stop but it has everything I needed while exhibiting for a week at the nearby Expo Center for the Pacific NW Sportsmen's Show. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and unlike many hotels you get daily housekeeping. I love the fact you get a free light breakfast (upgradeable to a bigger one or a small price) and that they have a laundramat, 24/7 convenience store, barber shop, massage place, deli, movie cinema, diner and bar/grill with a country music theme all accessed without leaving the building. Better still, there is 24/7 security on the premises. I will definitely be coming back here as long as I am staying in Portland!

Bit of a unique place. Blend of a hotel, couple of restaurants, gas station, truck stop, conveinance store and deli with a movie theater thrown in for good measure. Never really stayed anywhere like it before. Have to say, enjoyed our short stay there. Staff was extremely friendly especially at Deli and store. Rooms were on the large side for a hotel room. Very clean, good water pressure. It was somewhat out of the way in that it is in more of an industrial area, but within 20 minutes or so of airport even dealing with brutal portland traffic.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for my needs. Affordable, safe, comfortable, and super clean. I slept better than I had on my whole trip. The water pressure in the shower was amazing! I love that it incorporates all the amenities of a truck stop with a high quality hotel. Truly a one-stop shop.

Great place! Wow! Friendly staff, clean, quiet room! Everything you need in one place! Convenience store, movie theater, Deli, country western bar, restaurant, post office and gas station, all on the property. It is a truck stop; but surprisingly quiet! Restaurant food served in truck stop portions! Free breakfast included! Would highly recommend! Also has a shuttle to the airport!
