Grant at the front desk help us with printing and cutting out some flyers. We ran out at the show we were attending. It saved us for going out the next morning to find some to print them. Thanks Grant you made all Grants around the world proud with your extra effort's 🙂

The hotel was clean and staffing was very friendly and efficient. Loved that they had a secure parking lot (although one night had the entrance gate broken but there was a security guard checking room keys.) Our room was clean and comfortable and the shower was the best we’ve had in a hotel with water pressure enough to wash the day’s grime right off! My husband loved the bar and the hotel’s social hour (I don’t drink and passed my drink on to a friendly Marine who was there for training.) After a long drive the restaurant on premise offered a simple and tasty menu. I would/will stay in another Oxford Suites hotel the next time I travel and there is one at our destination!

I would like to first start by saying I never write a review however, after my stay the other night, I feel like I need to... So, overall, the hotel was nice. I upgraded and stayed in a top floor king one bedroom suite which was nice as well and clean. The hotel is quiet for the most part however, there were a few things that have made me not want to stay here again. First, when entering the hotel, the staff was super friendly and the gentleman at the desk boasted about their breakfast in the morning. He told me how the chef took pride in the food they put out and it was a "can't miss". When I came down in the morning though, the breakfast was subpar. I mean, I have had a better selection in the Delta Sky Club at the airport. There were some scrambled eggs, sausage, some French toast pieces (no butter or syrup though), a yogurt area, bread selections that clearly had been sitting out for some time, potatoes, and some fruit (apples and oranges only). Based on what the guy at the front desk said though, I expected far more. The food was warm (not hot) and obviously not cooked to order. As a vegetarian, I was disappointed. Maybe incorporate more vegetable options, fresh squeezed OJ (as opposed to the option they gave which was OJ like juice out of a machine), more fruit options, etc.?? Also though, and to my second point, I was disappointment in the dinner or restaurant itself. So, while technically they have a dining area, it is not a restaurant that most people are used to with hotels. They have no serving staff beyond one bartender in the bar area. So, anytime you want food or drinks, you have to go to the one bartender they have on duty. If there is food, they then give you a buzzer (similar to something a restaurant would give you at the host stand to let you know when your table is ready). The problem is though that you have to go get your food from the kitchen! I travel a lot and especially into Portland, but I have never seen this. It was like ordering food from Taco Bell or something. When I travel, I don't want to have to also go get my own food and drinks. If I wanted that, I would just get an Air BnB or something. I stay at hotels so I can relax in a restaurant and have someone serve me a glass of wine and food so that I can relax. Also though, even if they had a full serving staff, the dining area is not relaxing. It was almost like a cafeteria feel with bright lighting and no ambient music or anything to relax you from hearing what everyone in the bar is saying. My last complaint was with the internet. Again, I travel a lot and sometimes I end up working from my room. Everywhere else I have stayed, I can stream videos on my computer however, this hotel you cannot do that. The internet speed is fine for watching TV through their cable provider. It is also fine for just working on your computer. But, if you want to stream anything from your own computer, it does not work. I tried over and over but it would just freeze up. I am just surprised for a hotel that is seemingly updated, they are lacking in key areas. I mean, they boast on their website how great a restaurant they have (they state, "full-service lounge and restaurant" but it is definitely not FULL SERVICE), how amazing their breakfast buffet is (the food quality is definitely not as how they picture it on the website either), as well as how they have "high speed" internet. I was underwhelmed overall if I can be honest. They definitely need to step up the customer service aspect as far as dining is concerned. You should not say that you have a full-service restaurant and bar when the guests are going up to the counter to order everything as well as pick up their food and drinks. That is not full service. The breakfast also needs to be improved. While I get most hotels do a buffet, I have seen far better options for breakfast to cater to those meat-eating guests as well as guests that are mostly vegetarian and/or vegan. Lastly, I would suggest you step up the internet coverage you are getting. It is the bare minimum right now and definitely not as fast as other hotels in the area. I hope my comments help the hotel to improve but also so that guests have a better idea of what they are walking into before booking this hotel. The website is deceiving in my opinion. Thank you.

This is a fine hotel for the price. Very clean in all spaces - the rooms, the common areas, and the pool. A filling complimentary breakfast with omelets to order and several other warm foods. A complimentary drink from the bar every happy hour as well! Easy car parking in a safe location. The swimming pool is not heated but my kids loved it anyway. Nice showers in the room too. Everything in the hotel felt relatively new/remodeled. My only nit is that the beds in our room were full size, not queen size. Other than that we had a fine stay!
