Courtyard Portland Downtown Convention Center

First room given stunk of stale marijuana smoke. Second room had a noisy wall mounted HVAC unit. Woke me up every time it came on with the noise and a blast of cold air. Tired decor. Close walk to Moda Center but if you want a good nights sleep go somewhere else. It just isn’t worth it.

I stayed here while in Portland for a conference at the nearby convention center. The location was perfect. But the best thing about this stay was the incredibly helpful desk clerk Daniel who took care of me when I arrived. I had made a serious mistake when booking my room and he worked very hard to get it sorted out for me. It took Daniel multiple tries, but he persisted, got creative, and was able to straighten everything out. I am a very frequent guest at Marriott properties and this is one of the nice Courtyards I've stayed at. My room was comfortable, service was solid throughout my stay, breakfast options in the restaurant were good, and the bar was a comfortable place to relax with colleagues at the end of the day. Their local craft beer and wine selections were both good.

I always stay at Hilton properties, but my company booked this for a conferences. Stay was fine, everything you need in a hotel. It looks fluke there may have been some kind of a leak or other water damage they were repairing. Also, food was a bit over priced so I chose not to eat at hotel, I cannot comment on that. Decent stay, but I missed Hilton standards.

Warm and friendly staff, very comfortable stay. This is my second trip to PDX and will remain my hotel of choice. The hotel staff are very attentive and accommodating, truly exemplify the Marriott brand. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a conference in June. The hotel was nice and very comfortable but we were terrified walking from the hotel to the conference center or venturing out to find food. We witnessed several instances of people struggling with mental health, people passed out, drug paraphernalia, and perhaps even a dead body. An ambulance was there with a covered body on the ground. So, so sad.
