Best Western Inn At The Rogue

A really nice older Best Western, updated with friendly staff. Comfortable bed and nice linen. Good value for the money. Always stay here when I travel I 5. The staff is helpful and even carried my suitcase to the second floor as there are no elevators.

It's a convenient location about halfway between Medford and Grants Pass, close to both but far enough out that the parking lot and area around the hotel is void of street wanderers. The staff were great. The room and common areas were as clean as I've experienced in many Best Western stays. I read a few reviews about traffic and road noise being loud, but I didn't hear much of either.

Hotel is okay. It's across the street from a nice little park with a ramp and fishing spot. Hotel has no elevator so if you're on the second floor, you need to be able to go up the stairs. Breakfast isn't Celiac friendly so only my husband partook of breakfast in the morning. This is a pet friendly hotel and the guy checking in in front of us was amazed that the pet fee comes with a bag of water and treats. Our room was quiet and comfortable although the tub looked weird because the finish was peeling, making it look dirty. Visited October 2024.

Several members on TripAdvisor indicated this was a quiet Hotel. This is not a quiet Hotel. It's right on an off-ramp between I-5 and Old Highway 99. There are intersections and a ton of traffic. It's possible that in the other side of the hotel it's quiet but where I was it was awful and I had selected this hotel because I needed a good night's sleep. But wait, there's more. Upon checking in I decided to go in on the end where my room was located. It was pouring rain and windy. It was also dark with no lighting. When bringing my luggage around on the driveway I tripped and my luggage fell flat in the water because they had an electric cord that had been duct taped going across the driveway. It was Pitch Black where I was walking. That was ridiculous and when I told them about it in the morning they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. I expect the hotel used to be something else and Best Western acquired it and didn't do any improvements. The hallway smells like an ashtray and my room was completely foul. I did appreciate the room as it had a Jacuzzi bath and I wanted to relax however the bed was horribly uncomfortable. Between the fall, noise, bed, and horrible smell, this traveler will not be back and is unable to recommend this hotel to friends. I suspect if you ask for a room closer to the pool, it might be a little quieter in the winter.

This property is above and beyond most best western. They have all the amenities of a five star hotel. No paper cups and plastic water glasses, they have the real thing which makes it feel nicer. The owners have taken all the extra steps to make you feel comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and are there to help you anyway they can. We will stay there again for sure and recommend it to our friends.
