Skip this hotel for its grossness. 1/10 for quality, but 10/10 for customer service. This is the grossest hotel I've ever stayed in. It's so worn out, dirty and shabby and just nasty; dirtiest carpet of any hotel room I've ever been in, worn out wood trim, torn chairs, dirty walls, cobwebs, water dripping from the ceiling, candy wrappers behind the night stand, lights not working and missing light bulbs. This is in Bend? It's SHOCKING how gross the rooms are.

This hotel/motel was unbelievable. I really don't know the words at how to explain it. I am a fairly reasonable person and understand that nothing can be perfect nor near perfect in a hotel room. But, WOW! Unbelievable. We booked the room specifically as a portion of the hotel sits above the beautiful Deschutes River. We asked for and received a water view room with a balcony at a premium price due to the waterfront view. The concept of course was to drink wine and watch the river flow by. This was not the case. The porch had not been cleaned, no joke, a year? The photos will show this issues. I called the management after the first night. He said he would have it cleaned up. We left the next day to explore the forests. We came back to the room. Nothing done. The trash can was full (we had take out) bed unmade. We asked for the room to be tended to along with the porch. No one had entered the room. I walked to the clerk in the office, he told me the housekeepers can not come in to tidy up and make the bed and empty the trash unless we were in the room?? I tied to explain this was not the norm but he would not listen. I asked if someone could come and empty the trash? No, he said, we have staffing problems!! I had to located the dumpster and throw out my own trash. We made our own bed, no big deal. Then, we walked out on the porch. Not touched! This is not a job of a housekeeper but needed to be spray washed due to the grime, dirt, stains, spiderwebs and bird fecal matter along the entire railing. The chair we were supposed to sit in were also perches for the birds. Unusable. So, day two it was a pig style. We did not leave as other hotels were full and we unpacked and it was about 5:00 pm. So no balcony, I called the manger but as usual he was not on site. I called for the manager as per my phone log 22 times in two days. Not one time could anyone find him. The photos show it all. I asked for a new room and the night manager said, the next room will be in the same condition. This new manager said yet again, we have staffing issues. Lastly, I asked if the owners took pride in this property, he said it is a corporate property and not a franchise. The outside hallways are missing the necessary lights. Missing? Dangerous, it is really that dark. I picked up the phone in the room to call the night manager to ask them to be replaced, and the phone in the room did not work. OMG, worse hotel I EVER stayed in.

Do not stay here.I travel frequently and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When we checked in we were given our key but told someone had to let us in our room because their systems were down because of a fire that was near but things would be up and running in a few hours. I understand and had no problem with that, every time we left the room had to have someone let us back in.It still was not fixed the next day when we checked out.But moving on to the reason for this review. The carpet was so dirty and simply disgusting we did not dare take our shoes off.I went into the bathroom and thought the tile was just stained but when I wiped it, nope not stained but something I didn't want to know what it was.gross. when we came back from dinner we had ants or bugs of some kind crawling on bathroom counters. Sliding glass doors were filthy on the inside. When we talked to them about this all we got was I'm sorry. This was not a cheap room at close to $200.00 a night. Avoid this place.

Booked two rooms each with two queen beds for two nights. Carpet in both rooms was grotesquely filthy with stains. In the worst room trash can had not been emptied, many dead bugs in kitchenette drawers. Smoke alarm dangling by wires from the ceiling, one light fixture broken and missing bulb and no blanket on beds. Corner of one box spring mattress visibly broken down. Shared the many issues with front desk, they gave us two different rooms that were better, however one double queen room had only one bath towel. Ownership/management desperately needs to invest in maintenance, repairs and adequate housekeeping staffing....before they expect quests to willing pay to stay in their filthy run down hotel. There are other hotels in Bend. Wouldn't recommend anyone staying here. Only plus is location next to river.

Wes and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our vacation stay at their location. At check-in, they helped us get oriented with the area. They shared both local/regional tourism information and personal favorites. The room was cool, clean, and well supplied. Our view of the river from our deluxe 2-Queen room was perfect. One night during our stay was exceptionally cold which allowed us to turn the heat off and enjoy the fireplace - a real treat for Southerners. Our request for extras was quickly filled with a smile. We even had morning coffee with the wildlife near the river. It's not shiny new like several of the $$$ resorts. There were some aspects of the room and facility that seem aged but everything was clean and in good working condition. It was an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay at a most affordable price. Excellent food options [Shari's and McKay's] within walking distance if the on-site Indian cuisine is not your style. I had a minor and personal issue that I mentioned in passing to the property staff. They were completely unaware of the 'issue' and when told, they sincerely apologized and worked to resolve things quickly and professionally. During my stay, they were short staffed, and I believe more than one person was still actively training. It was overly clear that several people were working more than one role to the best of their ability. All things considered; I could not have asked for better service. I would absolutely go back. To the people who complain about things - I have to wonder if they used the same grace and patience they would want for themselves Many of them seem rather insufferable based on the feedback they generally offer. .
