Our entire stay was incredible. We had friends who stayed here two weeks before us and raved about their experience. We were originally booked at The Elliott, but after hearing their glowing recommendation, we changed our reservationāand weāre so glad we did. We truly appreciated all the thoughtful touches, especially the binoculars in the room. I never expected to enjoy watching sea lions and ships so muchāit became a highlight of the trip. Thank you for such a memorable experience.

Third stay, all wonderful. Service, spa, food, everything was exceptional. Recommend massage therapist Paris, she's amazing. The Napoleon was delicious!

I canāt say enough about this hotel! They have thought of everything. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the staff is fantastic and the amenities are spectacular. Itās a great mix of historic and modern with art by local artists. Maybe the best little hotel I have ever visited.

We arrived to unusually perfect weather in mid-April. Excellent hotel. Good firm bed and feather or feather style pillows. Nice leather couch in room. Small table and chairs in room. Even binoculars are in room. Small fridge and coffee/tea and kettle. Well appointed bathroom including the ability to sit in a tub and still see out the windows. Separate toilet room within. Separate rainhead with wand as well shower. Nice toiletries. Hairdryer also provided. Soft robes in room - ask for larger size if you need. Note that there are some rooms on the main floor that allows dogs for a fee. Had a breakfast bar which included custom omelets or eggs. However, waffle mix smelled nauseating and had zero taste to it. Provided bread looked to be some kind of whole grain but was taste-free. Cut fruit felt old. It would have been nice if there was a soy or oatmilk alternative available. Set up in breakfast food area was a little hard to figure out but overall still met needs. There was a $25 credit given per night for their bar600 and light snacks available from it. Night one taught us not to order the food. Night two drinks were much better and we were able to take them to our room. We did not use the car service but it is a brilliant idea and had a mighty fine fancy car or two doing the rides downtown. While it would be nice to have this available before dinner hour, I can understand the summer traffic might make it hard to manage. Architecture of hotel is tops. Views from room were wonderful. Loved checking out the action of the mouth of the Columbia River. Morning and evening bird show from commorants nesting below the Astoria Metzler Bridge. Spotted a few sea lions swimming by. Watched a pelican fly by with a fish held at the end of of it's beak rather than swallowed yet. Fantastically easy access to the bridge! Very cool to see the giant ships go by right in front of the hotel. We're even given a schedule as to when to expect them. such a magical spot. Funny little bonus for us was a pair of pigeons trying hard to build a next on our small balcony.
