I'm so sad to have to write this review. In years past we had stayed at this hotel with our pets and it was always very nice. The pet approved rooms were located in one of the back buildings and used to be clean, well cared for and quiet. Unfortunately, our recent visit was a huge disappointment. We were traveling with a small dog and assigned a room in the back building (like we had been in years past). The room we were given had dirty laundry outside the door, worn furniture, dirty carpets and the hotel suites in our building appeared to have a mix of hotel guests and long term renting tenants. We felt like the hotel was not upfront about this. After doing some research it seems when we stayed in the past it was owned by a local family. I hope the new owners take more pride/care of the property and disclose to guests they are also running an apartment complex.

After arriving to the hotel in the middle of the night after driving 7 hours, we were told that our room, which we booked weeks in advance, had been given away. The woman at the front desk who broke this news to my exhausted family did so in a cold and unapologetic manner, and offered no help whatsoever to rectify the situation they had created. When we expressed frustration at the fact that we had no where to stay, all she did was repeat that they would cancel our reservation free of charge again and again, as if that was a comfort. They did not call in advance to alert us, they in fact called in advance to ask what time we were arriving and let us know that they were ready for us. I would not recommend booking rooms at this hotel if you would like to have peace of mind that you will have somewhere to sleep when you arrive.

Lovely room, hot tub was so great!! Had a great dinner at Luna’s, only disappointment was breakfast is no longer included with your stay. Staff was friendly and drinks were good. We will definitely return. If you stay during summer months, the have the best swimming pool in Ashland.

I have two kids under 5 and my family and I have stayed in this hotel on our twice yearly trips from the Bay Area to Portland for the past 4 years. This year the hotel felt different. It used to have an amazing breakfast in the morning with whole grain toast and granola and nonfat Greek yogurt and hard boiled eggs, homemade muffins, with different milk choices and fresh fruit. This time it was nothing but empty carbs and sugar. The only fresh fruit were epically brown bananas. There was not a gram of fiber in the whole breakfast buffet. It was like any bad hotel breakfast. The hotel used to have this adorable gnome hunt for kids around the property. No one has kept it up and half of them are missing. The Luna cafe has raised its prices and the food is not as good. The bar didn’t have any beer on draft! They also used to have games and coloring for kids and a water station. That’s all gone. Overall it feel like it’s under new management and the love that was here before us gone.

Not a bad place, but definitely not high end. Good for what it is, and high value for the price ($109) paid. Wifi works. Clean. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Comfy bed. Quiet. The pool looked alittle scurvy, but maybe just because it is off season. (I did not try it.) Included breakfast was very basic (scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, bagels, juice). Not full service. Desk closed from 9 PM to 7 AM
