Holiday Inn Express Corvallis On the River an IHG Hotel

Just what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Good service, clean rooms and always an enjoyable breakfast spread. Added bonus was the property location situated on the bank of the Willamette River. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was the property was a bit dated and probably in need of a little upgrade. Otherwise, the beds were nice, lots of pillows and daily housekeeping. Location was totally fine with less than a 10 minute drive to the heart of OSU campus. Parking was free. which is always appreciated, not a lot parking, but seemed sufficient for the location. Will definitely return on my next trip back to Corvallis.

Stayed one night visiting our granddaughter at OSU. Staff were all friendly and helpful. I loved the updated decor of the room and the river view was the frosting on the cake. Like most HIEs lately, the pancake machine was broken and there was only one slow elevator but it was decorated amazingly.

This hotel is a best kept secret and deserves a 5+! It’s clean, modern, has comfortable beds and quiet. The breakfast spread was delicious with a white egg omelette, crisp bacon, biscuits and way more. In summer, there are outdoor tables overlooking the river. The workout equipment and pool w whirlpool had lots of light and were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Finally, we were lucky enough to get a room on the back side of the hotel and woke up to the sparkling river rolling by. Just lovely!

Worst 2 nights sleep I've ever had in a hotel, anywhere. The first night a DUI arrest occurred at 4 am just outside your front entrance. 6 Corvallis cop cars for one DUI. The whole process took close to an hour, very loud and lights flashing the entire time. My room was directly above the entrance. As a Silver Elite IHG Club member, why is my room on the street side directly above the entrance. A river view room should have been assigned at the very least. The second night the fire alarm went off at 12:20 for what sounded like a broken sprinkler in the parking garage? All your customers sat in the parking lot for an hour with temperatures around 40 deg F. This hotel is horribly overpriced for what is provided. Homeless camp 50 yards up river. I was charged a parking fee? I have never been charged to park at a Holiday Inn Express in any city. You are not the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. You are a Holiday Inn Express.

By far the worst Holiday inn I've ever stayed at. Corporate should take their name back. 1. The rooms are nice and so is the view but my experience was so bad I will not go above 5 stars. 2. If you are anywhere near the laundry or stairs, move or ask to be refunded! They wouldn't move me and told me they "couldn't guarantee anything" when I made the request and have to return next week for work. Day 2 and haven't slept. 3. My toilet ran the entire first 2 days and I had to ask the front desk 4 times before it was fixed. 4. Despite the price being well above anywhere in the state, even Portland, upon arrival you will be informed you have to pay $10 per night to park and there is NO WHERE else to park! This is again something Ive never experienced ar any other Holiday inn ever. 5. Loud. Loud. Loud. the doors and walls are paper thin and if you have a choice to stay anywhere else, I encourage you to do so. I haven't slept and that is the point of this place. 6. There is a large homeless camp next door which really makes the unsecured parking fee annoying. 7. They say there are cameras in the lower level parking, there aren't but there is a rubbish pile and somewhere people are always smoking. 8. If you care about the trivial things or aren't convinced yet... there are 2 staff in the morning for check out and a line out the door in the evening since only 1 poor girl works after 4 pm... check in time. Or at least as far as my 3 days of being here has shown. Pancake machine was broken and rarely any cookies. No walking path. Below basic cable at 30ish channels.
