La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oklahoma City Norman

Use your swing bar lock. We were sitting in our room watching TV and some random person opens our door with their key card. How does this happen? I assume there are safeguards in place that weren’t followed? I wanted to stay at Holiday Inn but my family wanted to try some place new. That’s my mistake.

NO CLEAN TOWELS!!! 😳 This has been my go to hotel when visiting my daughter, I’ve stayed here multiple times but they have really gone downhill in the last few months. Out room not ready for check in, the lady at the front desk was rude every day and worst of all, I was not able to shower because they didn’t have any towels!! We booked a suite for 3 people and got 2 towels. I asked for more because obviously I’m not sharing a towel and was told they didn’t have any and would not have any for a few hours until a laundry person came in.

This is an older hotel, however it was clean and quiet. It was central to everywhere we wanted to go. If the weather wasn't so rainy and cold we could have walked to a couple of places. The parking is not great. It is limited and the hotel was busy. We were 2 single gals and had to Park quite a ways from the hotel in the late night. It did make us a little nervous. Otherwise breakfast choices were good...to make it great, bacon is needed!!

We had a fantastic stay in a one bedroom suite. The hotel was updated, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because the pull-out sofa mattress was probably the worst I’ve ever seen. It had no padding and just felt like bare coils and springs. Our college-aged son had to sleep on it. But nevertheless, everything about our stay other than that was great!

Great location. The staff here was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was sparse, but not to worry, there is an IHop next door or a Denny’s down the street. There is also a Red Robin next door on the opposite side. Plus lots of shopping near by. It is also close to the OU campus. Perfect place for a quick weekend visiting family. I will definitely stay here again in the future.
