Baymont Inn & Suites by Wyndham Swanton Toledo Airport

Me and my mom stayed overnight on the 30th . The good The staff was friendly enough .breakfast is what you’d expect from a cheaper hotel waffles , yogurt , toast a little fruit and juice The bad We actually stayed here for the pool. We rented 2 rooms and wish we would have went elsewhere. This pool is freezing never been in a hotel with none heated pool in winter . The other issue with pool many enjoy a swim or to exercise in mourning before checkout the pool / excercise room is not open until 3pm . The room would have been considered decently clean if it wasnt for brown spots on the toilet lid . Idk if was diarrhea , puke or what it was same spots were on the tub and floor as well but they were faded like they had at least attempted to clean it . The room looks fairly nice for price but some of it is definitely cheaply put together. The toilet is not installed correctly as it moves and the board holding the shower curtain has stripped screws could see it hanging out the wall slightly tilted . I pushed it in before my son got in so it wouldn’t fall and hit him . The microwave was also unplugged but we just used my moms across the hall instead

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I had left a pair of shorts in the room after checking out. So we called to ask if they had been found during the room cleaning yet. Milan answered and said he checked the lost and found, the room, and asked his staff. he said that the shorts were never in the room. We show up to look ourselves and we are informed by the cleaning lady that they are in the garbage. so we had to dig through their dumpster to retrieve my shorts. so the man we spoke to on the phone completely lied to us. when we went to the front desk to get a reimbursement on our stay the man there said he couldn’t do anything about it and just stood there and smiled at us. Do NOT stay here.

We booked a stay at the Baymont by Wyndham Swanton in June 2024 for a 2 Queen room with BringFido. We arrived at about 10 PM only to find that they only had a single king available. The font desk did bring a folding bed to the room quickly but traveling with two young children and 2 adults and finding this out at 10 PM left us with very little options. The other minor issue was that the double queen room was an up-charge of 10 bucks. I had the front desk at check-out write down that we were given (a single king) as they could not correct the financial difference as the room was booked in BringFido. While this might be an isolated issue it feels like a bait and switch to overbook the more expensive rooms and switch it to an under booked cheaper room. I contacted BringFido to get the refund, they reached out to the hotel and even with the picture of the note from the front desk declined to refund the difference in room price. I know it’s only 10 bucks but I did want to share the review in case this is not an isolated issue and the hotel management continues to put other travelers in this situation.

I was extremely disappointed that after the hotel and I talked about the specifics of their advertised shuttle service 3 days earlier, on my return flight, after calling them that I landed, I was stranded outside the airport for over an hour - when I called them back, without them explaining why I was disrespected, I was then told that they would come now, which I declined because as the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me" - i willing not be using this hotel for future stays for my charter flights out of the Toledo Airport

This was a nice place to stay. The desk person was helpful and friendly, the room was clean, the wifi connection was strong, and the breakfast was adequate. We thought it was a little pricey for the type of hotel it is, but it was fine overall. If you are looking for a decent place to stay in the Toledo area that isn't incredibly expensive, we can recommend this hotel.
