Sonesta Simply Suites Cleveland North Olmsted Airport

My experience with this hotel is like living at home. The staff is fantastic. I am guaranteed to get a hug from at least one staff member during my stay. Many staff members greet me by name. They provide a pantry, laundry facilities, and well-maintained exercise equipment. They are across the street from Walmart. An entrance to an interstate highway is a very short drive.

Never stayed in the hotel. They did a bait and switch so they could double charge during a period when the area was out of power. They had power and people were desperate to find accommodations. The person behind the desk was rude and we asked to speak to the manager. We were told the manager left and can’t be reached. So we left. Rude thieves. Spend your money elsewhere.

Based on reviews, and having tried several of the other hotels in this area, I made a reservation at this hotel for guests visiting me. The room they were given was terribly run down, but the clincher was that the smell was so bad that they had to leave and go to a different hotel. I was so embarrassed to have selected this for them.

We checked in shortly after landing in Cleveland from Dublin Ireland. Very cold and impersonal feel. No lobby; Tiny glassed in reception desk near door. Looked old and plain and institutional. Hallways smelled bad…creaky elevator to 3d floor. No bottled water in overheated room…so made our way to tiny room on first floor w/overpriced candy bars, chips, plain water ($2). We offered to pay bottles of water using cash or credit card but reception desk person said they could not handle purchases that way—instead a mandatory $100 fee for extras was automatically added to our room charge and minus water remainder was refunded at check out. Upon getting up in morning, we realized bathroom only had a single bath towel—no bathmat, no washcloths. One of us skipped showering. As we checked out, we mentioned the lack of towels and washcloths. The receptionist told us we should have come down to the first floor and requested more towels. Honestly, we wanted to minimize our trips through smelly hallways and down a creaky elevator! We arrived at 9:30 pm at night and left quickly at 4 am the next morning. We will never ever stay at a Sonesta hotel again. Tripadvisor reviews are WAY off base—I wonder if they have been manipulated.

Nice pet friendly hotel! Clean rooms with a small kitchen. Very nice if you are spending time there makes it very convenient! I will be staying there again. My mother just moved right around the corner so this is perfect!
