The city is well-known for Fenton Art Glass, a 100 year-old company with deep roots in the area, or for the shimmer of the majestic Ohio River. Within minutes of the hotel, guests can enjoy a historic trolley (electric tram) ride, cross a restored covered bridge, drive a forgotten back road or explore a Gothic castle (about 2 km). The Ohio River Museum is some 2.5 km away and it is about 2.9 km to the centre of Marietta and around 3 km from the Fenton Art Glass & Gift Shop and the tourist centre. The Grand Central Mall is a 23-minute drive and it is about 24 minutes by car to Parkersburg.
