Don't be fooled by the shabby exterior. We got Jacuzzi room and was very large with 3 person tub, very clean, distinct smell of disinfectants when entered room gave reassurance. We even stayed in a smoking room which historically have that awful stale cigarette smell and that was not present! Manager on duty was extremely kind and accommodating and gracious. It's an old hotel but have no complaints. Best hot tub room been in for only $125 on a Saturday night!

1 point just for the courtesy of some to the Reception, in particular Any. Breakfast non-existent as opposed to how it is described among the services (only a coffee or a fruit juice), non-existent daily cleaning (you have to request it but request remained in vain), old, a very unpleasant smell of chlorine caused by the very small swimming pool whose entrance is located at the entrance.

Never in my life stayed at such a s***hole. Booked 2 rooms for a wedding that was held nearby. Pictures look NOTHING like they have posted. The place is just GROSS. Dying flowers in the lobby. Crackheads walking around at all hours. Only one room was ready so 3 people had to quickly get ready in one bathroom (it also had the only mirror in the room). Went to the desk again to ask to get into the second room, but the bed was not ready. I explained that we really needed in and did not need the bed made at the moment (just the bathroom) and the guy at the desk said we had to pay before we went in (of course). So I had to to grab cash and when I went to pay he tried to charge me more than the first room. He had to look up the reservation information (tick tock tick tock) then finally we got in. The faucet in the bathroom had NO water pressure. Pretty much same story for the water in the toilet. Hair balls on the ground. Just nasty. Got back from event and found the police there. Nice. They stayed and stayed so I called the desk and said there are drunk people there all the time so the police patrol there. Went to bed after that and the sheets felt like construction paper. The shower had a shower head that didnât fit properly and sprayed the water all over the wall instead of straight down. Needless to say I couldnât get out fast enough. Even a $50 is not worth it. Spend the extra money to stay at an even semi-nice place.

Nice people but this is not a great place. Room was half clean. Bedding needs to thrown out and more bought. I should have looked around more. This is not what I expected at all. Pictures on internet and what they are really different.

Allright, so my husband & I plus a couple others came to Kent as they had a company meeting to attend. Normally we prefer to stay at the Comfort Inn across the road for the big indoor pool & hot tub but their reviews werenât great lately and the hot tub was broken. Anyway we saw this hotel had a small indoor pool to still enjoy. We knew coming here was risky since our total was only $50 but it was cheaper than the others around. Upon arrival we realize it didnât look promising based on how the exterior and parking lot appeared. Well we checked in and went up to our room on the 2nd floor to room 209. First of all we noticed the hallways were not vacuumed. It was 3 pm and you would have figured this should have already been done. In our room we had a bedspread that had at least 3 different areas of smoke burn holes. Also on the fitted sheet on one side of the bed where you would have your pillow, there were more burn holes We did have a non smoking room btw. Also close to the ceiling above the sink there was water damage on the wall and also on the ceiling above the toilet and shower. The shower curtain is not long enough for the bar. There was 4 patched up holes on the wall perhaps where a tv used to hang. The wood flooring throughout was nice. My husband tried to pop a bag of popcorn in what I would consider the slowest microwave ever. It only popped half of it and started burning the rest. The walls are very thin in there as we were woken up at 5 am from the person above us and then about 7:30 am from our next door neighbor. Anyway, letâs back up to our evening between arrival and bedtime. We went to use the pool about an hour after we arrived. Boy, it was freezing in there. The thermostat didnât work and the pool was too ice cold to even get into. The door going in and out was supported by a c-clamp. There were only 2 towels. Luckily one of the men working-perhaps the owner came in and apologized that no one had used the pool in a couple of days. And also blamed the cold weather outside for why it was also cold in there. He turned the heat up and and said that it should warm up very quickly. He provided us with more towels and even brought one to my husband and put it around his shoulders. He also offered us some coffee. I think it either embarrassed him or he really felt bad. It did finally warm up some to where we could get it. This pool and the walls are in need of paint and a good cleaning. After an hour we left with 2 others we were there with to go to dinner. When we returned we all decided to go to the pool again. The temp outside of course was much colder which in turn made what little warmth the pool water had worse. All four of us literally stood in the water each next to a vent to try and stay warm. A younger guy employee came in and turned the water temp up but it didnât help much. We just tolerated what we had. We asked if he could turn up the room temp but he also noticed the thermostat was broken and just laughed and said he didnât know then and left. Ok, so when we were finished in the pool and came up to our floor we all detected a strong pot smell. Then after showering we went to bed. Cue to next morning after loud noises and people we went down for breakfast. The lady at the desk greeted us and said good morning but I told her it wasnât much of a good one when we had someone wake us up talking loudly next to us. She asked our room number and actually called the room it came from. We could hear another couple come down to check out and they also complained of the noise next to them. The lady came to tell us she called that room and said that anytime anything happens that we can contact the desk anytime of day. I told her about our cigarette burned sheet and bedspread. She said they have people who steal towels and other things and they work with what they have and pretty much we have to realize that you get what you pay for. Iâm sorry, but itâs not attractive in the least to see your bed like that. When we checked out later she did apologize for the noise. To sum up, we wonât stay here again. Breakfast food is only waffles, breads and a few donuts. Oh! And this is the first...there was shampoo you could buy in the vending machine! Really??? I wouldnât consider that Hampton next to it either as you could see torn up window shades and broken windows from our room view.
