Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ironton an IHG Hotel

This is the best in the area. We have stayed here since it opened 9 years ago. The staff are professional and friendly. Deanna, ( I probably got her name spelled wrong) to Taylor at the front desk. Erica in house keeping. And Donna for breakfast. The very Best breakfast in any IHG hotel. This is our home away from home when we come to visit family. Excellent location near Hwy 52. Convenient to the Tri-state area.

after a whole week of problems with hotels it was nice to stay somewhere where it all went right. the front desk staff was pleasant and check in was quick. I got the room i had requested. The room was nice and large. The bathroom was clean The TV was decent sized. The AC worked well. room lighting was good The room had plenty of outlets. the room had a nice big TV The bed was very comfortable Fridge and coffee and micro and such the only gripe was the alarm was left set at 0545 Why doesn't the maid reset these things? who gets up at 545 anyway? Breakfast was very good The gym and pool looked nice, but I didnt get a chance to use them. of all the hotels we stayed at this week this was the nicest.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous! We stay here every time we are in the area and it never disappoints. The room is so comfty and clean. The pool and hot top are amazing! And I have to sing by the praises of the breakfast lady, Donna!!!!! Oh my goodness! This lady rocks! She went above and beyond to meet our needs. She treated us like we were in a five star restaurant. Absolutely precious lady! I pray she gets a raise because her service is phenomenal!!!!!!

We would rate this facility among the top 10% of HIE properties that we have visited in the last year-- and that is well in excess of 50 hotels in this chain alone (spire elite). Arriving late, the first thing we noted was the heavy contractor presence, which tends to guarantee a quiet property. And this one was very quiet indeed. The hotel was spotless, the mattress and pillows the same high quality that we now expect (and normally get) throughout the IHG universe. Breakfast was the standard fare, but the big draws for us here were the freezer element in the frig (we travel with dry ice), and the safe-- which actually worked! And what tired traveler won't appreciate a properly heated indoor pool and hot tub that are open 24 hours a day? At 11 at night and 7 the next morning, the hot tub really, really felt good. We give this hotel our strongest recommendation, and look forward to staying here again.

Have been staying in Ashland Ky area and found the traffic and parking atrocious, especially at the Delta Marriott in Ashland Ky, whose GM is rude, vindictive and is careless when it comes to guest safety, insufficient parking there as well, At this Holiday Inn, no parking worries and you can safely walk to several restaurants. Price is right and manage team and staff is awesome. Try it. This place has plenty of free parking unlike that Marriott in Ashland Ky.
