Residence Inn Columbus Polaris

Stayed here for a week and key card stopped working so I went in to get a new card. Walked thru the front doors and there was a man at the desk. We made eye contact but he did not say anything but there was a white lady at the counter so I waited behind her. 10 minutes goes by and a white man walks in and he immediately greeted him “hello sir I will be right with you” I did not think nothing of it at that point maybe he was busy when I walked in. So he was done with the lady and he turn to the white man and ask “how can I help you sir? The white man said “i believe that gentleman is before me” point my way. The black man behind the counter then turns to me and acknowledged that I was there. I did not say anything but in my head I wanted to say maybe it’s my skin tone that he did not think I could afford a room there. Residence inn your employees should have better training or your policies of treating people equally regardless of their skin tone should be better…

Stayed there Friday December 6 2024 Multiple vehicles had windows broken out and is happening in this area almost nightly. Front desk was no help, offered no assistance I guess, so there is no way they would be perceived as having any liability. We have been to this area the last 9 years and will never be back!!!!!!!!!!

Residence Inn Polaris Great area with lots of places to eat and shop in walking distance. We had a room with 2 bedrooms and full kitchen. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Derek at check in was great and very helpful Free breakfast in the morning and free parking. Lots of great places to walk around.

My main concern is that someone within the hotel, possibly an employee, made an attempt during our stay last night (for $40) and again at 3 am today (for $10) to make charges to my credit card. We only stayed one night and the location was good for mall shopping. We had only two complaints: The concern of attempting to charge my credit card twice and breakfast was well below what we had anticipated. The room was fine for a night but I can't say I would recommend it to family or friends due to concerns of the beach of my trust via my credit card. This also raises concerns about my upcoming & future plans to stay with the Marriott brand.

John, at the front desk was amazing. We came for Spring Break and the kids really enjoyed it. The rooms were all clean and newly remodeled. The indoor pool was very nice, clean. The complimentary breakfast hit the spot. Kids loved the waffles and fruit loops.
