The Aurora Inn

The staff was exceptional, especially front desk attendants Molly, Ashley and Akia. We had to change our reservation from one weekend to the next, very last minute because of unforeseen circumstances. They were super understanding and very accommodating from the initial reservation that I was making for a special occasion for my daughter. They kept packages at the front desk for them that were delivered a week earlier. They even did extra special things for the dog. The restaurant at the hotel was top notch. The patio area and the swim center are fantastic. Overall an amazing experience for all of us, all of the workers went above and beyond to make sure the special occasion was made that much more special.

GREAT stay at the Aurora Inn! We booked due to it being a dog friendly hotel and we have a new puppy. We had a clean room (slightly dated but they are working on updating) that was in the pet wing. There were dog-poop bags and waste station right outside the hotel door in case you forgot bags, they gave us a gift bag for him that had some biscuits and a bandana for him and he was welcome throughout the hotel. The pool area was great, with a nice sauna, showers, huge pool and plenty of clean towels. I can't say enough about how great Franz (sp), Erica and the rest of the staff were. They all melted over Leo and were so welcoming with everything. We really felt at home there. We'll definitely use this as our go-to every time we come to town. This quaint hotel is full of charm and beauty. I have stayed there on two separate occasions and enjoyed each stay. Rooms are cozy & clean. Bar tenders mix excellent drinks and the food is tasty! The best feature of the Inn is the STAFF! They went above and beyond to help make my stay comfortable and enjoyable! Excellent customer service! I stayed in a pet friendly room and appreciated being able to bring my dog. Staff gave my dog the royal treatment with treats, a scarf, and lots of affection! The Aurora Inn is a hidden gem!

First of all, we are shivering in our bed, because our room’s “heat,” which is at 75, is blowing air, NOT heat. (It’s 33 degrees outside). They put “dog people” in a “dog (un)friendly dungeon, where the paint is peeling off the walls and doors, the closet has no door, there is no ice machine, it is truly disappointing, after driving here for 5.5 hours after a recommendation from a friend on our way to a Thanksgiving dinner out east. There isn’t even a quilt or anything to put over us for even a little warmth. Do NOT stay here if you have a dog. It’s truly uninhabitable. Zero excuse for even allowing humans to stay in these conditions.
