Super 8 by Wyndham Lake George Warrensburg Area

I was looking for a basic no-frills accommodation while I was ski skiing at Gore Mountain. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The water in the bathroom was hot and the surrounding was relatively quiet and peaceful at night just what I was looking for thank you.

Traveled to Warrensburg to ski Gore. This place seemed like a good price, included breakfast and close to the mountain. Staff seemed friendly. However, upon arrival we were met with the smell of pot in the main lobby and people smoking pot outside the main doors. We had 2 rooms. One room had no coffee maker and smelled musty. The other room was fine. We assumed a basic continental breakfast would be available (cereal, fruit, toast and yogurt). Instead the options were mini-muffins, juice and oatmeal which in theory might seem ok but there were NO SPOONS to eat the oatmeal with. We are not a fussy family at all and this stay probably ranked one of our least favorites.

The online pictures make it look so cute. It is not. We arrived one evening greeted with cigarette smoke from an employee near the door. When we entered it smelled like damp carpet with odors from maybe rodent pee mixed with cigarette smoke. We went up a short flight of stairs to the second floor to a creepy hallway. We entered into our room with two full size beds. The AC was blowing humid air which made the room smell like stale beers and cigarettes. The carpet looked about 40 years old and looked sticky. The bathroom was so outdated and smelled like mold. We left. There was no way we were staying there.

Reasonably priced but no fear here. Nice and clean, comfortable, everything worked, nice people. Decent breakfast and, all in all, a great value. A little hard to find and the area restaurants are iffy but Lake George is just down the road. Very excellent value and satisfaction.

Upon entering you are greeted with a rodent bait box. The first floor where the animals are allowed, had a horrific urine order. The staff can be found outside smoking. Handicap parking is utilized by the staff also. Rooms smelled and were dirty. Hotel needs to be gutted.
