The Times Square Edition

First off, the $40 nightly charge even as Marriott Gold Members is offensive. Just raise the nightly rate by $40 and stop the nickel and dime game. Second, at an all in total of $600 a night with taxes and fees, I would have expected a cleaner room. Random hairs in the bed and mildew build up in the shower is not acceptable at this price point. A non responsive call to the front desk was also a waste of time. The front desk person that checked us out was super friendly but overall the stay was pretty mediocre and I wouldn’t return.

Upon arrival, the room was found in appalling condition: hair tangled in the bed, urine stains on the blanket, a thick layer of dust that triggered an asthma episode requiring medical equipment , ripped towels, cracked mirror, a filthy dust-laden rug, and visible mold. No guest should be exposed to these kinds of hazardous conditions, let alone in a hotel claiming five-star standards.

We spent 3 nights and 4 full days at this lovely hotel. We went to New York to celebrate our anniversary, and they made us feel truly special—almost as if they were celebrating with us! We felt safe and welcomed. The hotel has it all: restaurants with different indoor and outdoor settings, a terrace, brunch, a beautiful courtyard, bars, and a nightclub for dancing all night! everything you need to have fun. We read about the owner and the history of the Edition before going, which made our stay even more special. We loved the style and decor of the common areas and rooms: bright, uncluttered, simple, minimalist, modern, yet warm and romantic (it was our anniversary!). The music was perfect, ideal for both adults and young people. Everyone was so kind to us that I don't know where to begin! I want to mention and send a special thanks to Yago del Rincón (manager) a lovely true gentleman; and to Eduardo "Eddie"+ Elvio at the bar ( deli cocktails and great hospitality)! and to our waitress every day at breakfast (I can't remember her name! :( ). Edition honors the benefits from Amex Platinum and Marriott Bonvoy which made our experience Amazing.. even more!! The location is perfect. If you don't like the Times Square area, don't worry you might not even notice you're in the center of the action; but if you do... well... enjoy it! Thank you all so much, we definitely will be back as soon as we can. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel as a great place to stay and enjoy New York.

Came to town for two weeks with my wife and stayed here for the first time. Have stayed in a couple of other nearby hotels but from now on this is where we will be! Tallia went out of her way to make our stay a great one! She is a fantastic representative of the brand, and all the other staff were super friendly, helpful, and pleasant. Can’t wait till we come back again!

Pleasantly surprised. Having recently stated at W Times Sq and having a not so stellar experience, I was a bit apprehensive to book Edition! However, should not have been. The hotel has an amazing location if you are in NY for theatre. From the moment the door guys set eyes on us, util we left every employee was incredibly friendly. These guys are professional, polite, helpful and genuinely seem to like working at the hotel. Check in was a breeze, deluxe room, 23 floor… all NY rooms are “small” but it still seemed luxurious.. Shower was very nice, coffee maker, comfy bed and pillows. Lobby bar was cool and good for a drink. I hate the dumb Marriott $40 “destination fee”. But, it does give you 2 tickets to MoMa if you have time. Did not eat at hotel, but the 9 floor restaurant looked very nice! Definitely would return, and a new favorite!
