Lotte New York Palace

The Lotte Palace Hotel is an exceptional hotel in so many ways. I was just there on business and brought my family to enjoy the hotel with me. Ryan Dowd, the Front Desk Manager, was so helpful. Ryan assisted us in making sure our room accommodations were right, and it sure made a difference in our stay. He, and many others at the front desk - Michael, Caroline, Greg, Peter, Linzy, all in the main hotel, and Anne Marie (in the Towers) just to name a few, are outstanding - as they are personable, knowledgeable and always have a great attitude, being so cheerful and helpful during our very early checkout. All smiles and wide awake well before sunrise on a Thursday morning. The concierge team is second to none - Ani, Isabella, Diego, and Christian all helped make our time in NY so enjoyable. Their input and assistance, combined with how much they care out the hotel guests are part of what makes the entire staff exceptional. Part of what makes it special is the Pomme Palais, a quaint boutique bakery in the hotel. Sure, they have fantastic gourmet coffee, freshly baked muffins, croissants, quiche, etc. What separates the Pomme Palais from other “coffee shops”, is not just the plethora of breakfast and lunch goodies, it’s the staff there. I have been staying at the Lotte Palace for many years and noticed that the staff at the Pomme Palais are consistently cheerful, responsive, and a joy to interact with. They recognize each customer not just as a patron, but as a person. They interact with each customer - smiling, asking about their day, while at the same time fulfilling orders and keeping the line of people moving. Regular customers are referred to by name, and the specific orders of repeat customers are remembered. Even the chefs go above and beyond. Rafri, one of the chefs, went out of his way to help us with a special order before we left early in the morning. It’s clear that the staff at the Pomme Palais – Arleni, Mark, Victoria, Deborah, Andrew, Samuel, Carlos and Rafri – are extraordinary people, and they all play an important role in what makes the Pomme Palais a “must visit” when staying at (or just stopping by) the Lotte Palace Hotel.

I was booked to stay at the Lotte Palace the week of Jan 15th 2024 for work. I stayed 1 night and left the next day for another hotel. The hotel is old and in desperate need of updates and cleaning. I found it extremely overpriced for what it offers.

Also, a huge shout out to Stacy (front desk) and Alexandra (front desk manager) for being so cheerful and helpful during our very early checkout. All smiles and wide awake well before sunrise on a Sunday morning.

The New York palace is a gorgeous hotel in a great location, with wonderful staff. A special shout out to Christian at the concierge desk. Also, one of the front door men was a truly joyful man. I believe his name was Mile. Having said that everyone in the palace that we came in contact with, was very hospitable and welcoming.

Always love staying at the Towers at Lotte NY Palace. Our visit always starts off great with Jimm checking us in with a smile and some great recommendations, making us feel right at home. Only drawback is room service. We were surprised when we called for a wine bucket with ice at 4:30 pm only to be told room service wasn’t open yet?? The food is subpar also. What happened to the really good club sandwich, a bread basket and an actual wine list with the names of the bottles?
