We stayed with our dog for 8 nights due to a death in the family. The suite was clean and comfortable with easy 1st floor access. Weekends were much busier but no loud or chaotic issues. And, we had several requests and interactions with various staff, and all were very helpful. I had been a bit concerned when I saw the negative reviews below, but we had nothing similar.

One of the worst experiences. The room was on the top floor, at the extreme end of the floor, behind fire doors. I call this the forgotten room - there was no hot water, the front door did not close properly and the wifi that I paid for an upgrade did not work and kept dropping. Only stayed 2 days but was charged for the WIFI on my departure and was told nothing they could do. We requested another room on arrival and was told NOTHING was available, but I witnessed people coming to check in without any reservations and be given rooms. Hotel was notified numerous times about the lack of hot water and the problem with the front door latch BUT we were told it's all in working condition. Then was chastised in bringing two cups of coffee and toasted bagel (putting bagel, package of cream cheese and napkins in a bag) being told you're only supposed to eat in the dining area. These are kitchen efficiencies - no plates, cups or utensils were in the bag. Needed to use a bag because they did not offer a carrier for the HOT COFFEE. Will never stay at this hotel, or possibly any Marriott on Long Island ever again! I told the front desk at checkout only to be met with an indifferent attitiude.

We've been coming to Long Island for Christmas for the last several years and always bring our dogs. This was our first visit to this Residence Inn and it will definitely become our go-to! We lounge most of Christmas Day before heading to dinner, and the 1 bedroom suite is so roomy for us and the dogs. The hotel has recently been upgraded and rooms are very nice and well done. The breakfast area is clean and well maintained. In fact, I was surprised how much staff was around given the holiday. And everyone was pleasant and helpful. We were extremely pleased with this stay and will most definitely return.

This reservation was for a 1 bedroom suite with a standard King size bed but I received a Queen size bed instead! And both the Property Manager and the maid confirmed the smaller bed size by putting their sheet on top of my Queen size sheet that I brought from home! My Queen size sheet fit perfectly on the mattress and was clearly labeled as a Queen size sheet! Their sheet that they put on top of my sheet was SMALLER than my Queen size sheet, not bigger! And their blanket that was also on the smaller bed was clearly labeled "Queen Size"! The Manager agreed to refund all 25,000 points that I used to purchase this reservation and she agreed to process the refund on December 17, 2024. However and to date, no refund has been submitted or processed for this reservation (Confirmation number 76598289). The room also lacked adequate hot water (the water was lukewarm and not the right temperature required by NY State law) and the female Front Desk clerk was extremely rude and tried to overcharge me for this reservation upon check-in on the night of Monday December 16th.

I am very disappointed! As a Marriott member who has stayed at many Marriott properties before, I can confidently say that the Residence Inn is not up to par. My family and I stayed at this hotel for 6 days, and hereās what we experienced: **Breakfast:** There was only one choice of fruit, no fresh waffles, just Quaker oatmeal with questionable ingredients, no gluten-free options, and the utensils were dirty. **Room:** The kitchen was dirty, equipped only with pots and no pans or baking sheets, along with dirty dishes and utensils. The bathroom sink was clogged, there weren't enough towels, and the curtains had holes. **Gym:** There were no towels available, and it was freezing cold with the air conditioning on every day, even with temperatures outside at 28 degrees in New York winter. Additionally, the gym smelled like breakfast, leaving us to work out with the odor of plastic-wrapped waffles in the air. **Pool:** There were absolutely no towels, the floors were dirty, and the water temperature was cold. On the fourth night, I requested towels and a pan for cooking from a receptionist who appeared to be Spanish (unfortunately, I didnāt catch her name). She was on the phone with a friend at the time but put the call on hold to assist me. She assured me that she would send the items to my room. After two hours of waiting, I called downstairs again, and she reiterated that she was sending them. However, the towels and the pan never arrived. Overall, this experience did not meet the standards one would expect from a Marriott property.
