Candlewood Suites Winnemucca an IHG Hotel

Reached the lobby at 9pm. Excellent room facing the mountain. Big shout out to the lady at the front desk, Tiona. She is awesome! She was helpful with the room and set us up for late checkout due to an afternoon class. She is fantastic. Highly recommend. Would stay again.

The room was spacious with a full size fridge, a dishwasher, a toaster and 2 burner stove. There were dishes and cooking pans. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The only issue was that we were just off the lobby and we could hear the phone ring. Also, we could hear the people above us. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Kinda run down But the Gambling in the entire area is just plain rip off. Winnemucca proves brick and mortar gambling only belongs in a gambling zoned area defined by securities and trade commission. Whats happening in small towns across Nevada is legal theft. Las Vegas should be the Only gambling town in the State. No State should have numerous gambling towns!

This hotel unfortunately ranks as one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at on my travels. In anticipation of the annular solar eclipse, I booked a queen suite with full kitchen, even though I wasn't going to cook, because why not if it's the same price. Now, the room, by appearances looks great. The bed looks clean and is comfortable. Nice kitchen with a full fridge, induction cooktop, lots of cookware available to use. So many outlets. And a really big table. And that is where the good stuff ends. The room was a freezing 60 degrees when I checked in at 8pm. I don't know how to get a non first floor room, but I had a first floor room that annoyingly faces the parking lot. The fridge was exceptionally loud and ran 60-70% of the time, periodically interspersed with an extremely loud screech from the ice maker. The soundproofing is as good as nothing, as I heard stomping from somewhere all the time, can hear the neighbor's kitchen cabinet open and closing. One of the worst sleep I have had in a hotel. The bathroom issue. They put the tissue paper right above the toilet. And the bathtub was so slippery if I was an old dude I would slip and break a hip. And the towels were cheap and unfluffy. Some of the towels were even so old they didn't even match with the other whites. The TV was also mediocre and did not offer YouTube as an app. At least parking was easy. Candlewood Suites - I feel I got tricked by the fancy name. Honestly had better sleep at a motel 6 before. Sorry, but this was disappointing.

Digital check-in and check-out were both unavailable. My room allegedly had a full kitchen. However, an Out of Order sign was posted on the dishwasher! Who all allows occupancy in a room knowing that everything is not in full working order!?
