Nice hotel. Clean. Had a King Suite and it was very spacious with a nice kitchen, full size fridge and all the utensils you would need. Breakfast was good and is complimentary. Gym is a good size with enough equipment to get a good workout in. Would recommend staying at this property.

I stayed at this location for several months total. So I know the ins and outs very, very well. The only reason why I did not check out and check in to a different hotel was because I did not want to haul and lug all of my suitcases and belongings to another location after I was already here. I would not stay here another day, having experienced and knowing what I know about this hotel now. Not even if they paid for my stay. The only thing that kept me at this location for so long despite its low quality, was the suite type rooms that it offers. The space is very ample for one or two people. Almost like a personal apartment room. Specific reasons why I would never stay here again and recommendations as to why no traveler should stay here: The hotel is very old, over 12 years at the time of this writing so I was told. The walls and flooring are very thin and cheaply made. A door slam clear down the end of the hall will not only be heard in your bedroom at night, but also felt. Door slams by the staff and workers here occur on a daily basis morning and night. They do not care about your peace and quiet, nor your stay. I made numerous complaints to mangement, and the door slams only became more freuqent, also louder. Your bed and room will shake from the door slams. Running or feet moving on the floors above you can be heard in your room. Young, bitchy front desk workers purposely slam housekeeping doors at night and during early morning hours to wake guests up. Housekeepers will do the same in the mornings and afternoons. So depending upon your normal sleep schedule, be aware. These door slams will shake and rock your entire room. Bed and all. With the walls and flooring being so thin here, hooking up here would be ill advised. Guests walking past your door, even guests staying beside your room can easily hear you. The hotel is located right next to a busy and loud interstate. Cars and semis can loudly be heard zooming up and down early morning, also late at night. Revving engines is a frequent sound at this location. The evening night reception food and drink options are very cheap and low quality. The Staybridge in Bismarck is of higher quality. Not sure what happened with the one in Minot? The drink lady at the evening reception is not happy with life and is not very kind. It is an inconvenience to her when you need a drink or a refill. At the Bismarck location, there is no drink lady! You just grab your own drink from the keg. Or your own glass of wine. Evening beer drinkers only have two options the whole time, Coors Light or Steiner Bock. Bismarck location actually offered two local options which was nice. There are 4 white wine options each night. Zero red wine options. Why? Because guests like red wine, and this is a nuisance to the drink witch. Breakfast here is horrible. Holiday Inn has better breakfast. The breakfast and evening reception attendants verbally complian about the amount of food you take. I have never had this happen in all of my many years of staying at hotels. Is that not what the food is there for? Young, bitchy front desk workers are lazy, and helping you with anything is no major concern for them. At night, many can be found sleeping at the front desk. Sheets are dirty. Please see attached photos. Spend your money and stay elsewhere. You will have a more peaceful sleep, also better experience all around. If Undercover Boss ever needed a good episode, this would be a great place to air. Leadership would be appalled what actually goes on here. Many employees here are in positions of direct customer service, that do not comprehend what that means. They really should consider career changes, and get better workers in that truly understand customer service positions.

The room I was given had a worn, dirty sofa. I requested a sheet to cover it. The microwave was coated with food inside. The sink was cracked and dirty. The shower needed a good scrubbing. I did request a contact from management that has not happened. I would have changed hotels, but did not want to pay the penalty for canceling.

My husband was behind a person trying to check in whose credit card was being declined and he was leaking some bodily fluid on the counter. We are pretty sure he was on some type of drugs because after he was told that he couldn't pay for a room with cash, he went and sat in the breakfast area. My husband then approached the counter to check in and the bodily fluid was still on the counter. The gal at the counter did nothing to wipe it up. My husband finally asked for something to wipe it up. She handed him a kleenex box. My husband grabbed a tissue and wiped it up and the gal told him to there was a garbage behind him to throw it into! My husband just left the tissue on the counter as he was trying to get us checked in. After getting us checked in, she again told my husband that the garbage was behind him to throw the tissue in and the told her that it wasn't his bodily fluid and why should be be doing her job. He also thanked her for recognizing her as a Platinum member (which she didn't do). She then started sputtering and getting more upset. He left the kleenex on the counter and walked away. When we got to our room it was very warm and no matter how we adjusted the thermostat, we could never get it to cool down. The mattress had some type of topper on it and it needs to be changed out. It is definitely sloping towards the middle. The orange juice at breakfast wasn't working both mornings we were there. We had more stays planned as our daughter goes to Minot State, but we have cancelled and made reservations elsewhere.
