Let's start with the good: the rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. The people are really nice, and even though the hotel van was broken, the staff used personal cars to pick me up and drop me off at the airport. All that was 5 stars. Now let's talk about the issues. First the hotel is aging badly. Little has changed here in years and years. The conference I attended suffered through 90's tech on the AV/screens. The conference rooms downstairs were freezing until the end of the 3-day conference where they started warming up (?). The conference catering was fair to good. Again the service folks were great. Maybe 4 stars. Now let's just cover the hotel rooms and such. There is no breakfast service at the hotel. There is a bar/restaurant that serves simple things like burgers and fries and such - some would call it pub food. Lunch (if the cook shows up) and dinner only. No service was offered to refresh the room for the three days I stayed. The room has no modern power and USB support. Most of the plugs either don't work or they are so worn out that devices just fall out of the plug. The water was barely warm on all three days for morning showers. Never tried the evening. I did not see anyone using the pool, be sure to check if it is open and operational. This part gets 2 stars on a good day. There are many newer and comparable priced options for hotel in Bismarck. But for conferences I think this one is it.

I was sometimes forced to stay here for work conferences; however, I will not stomach the place again for any reason. This hotel is *rife* with drug activity. It is filthy, old, gross, and a modern-day flop house for traffickers and various criminals. This hotel is now owned by a Chinese conglomerate known for allowing its properties to fall into disrepair. The company dared to request a tax break from the city last year. A tax break for allowing its facility to become a drug-infested cesspool? That's not how tax breaks work. I hope the city steps in someday and knocks it down and does something amazing for the community with the space.

Excellent hotel in general. My room seemed comfortable and the entire hotel was very well cleaned. The staff were friendly. For the price, I was a bit disappointed that my heater did not work and the coffee pot was missing. I did enjoy the conference center very much.

This hotel is extremely dated and run down. My first impression when I pulled up and got out of my car was to cancel my reservation and stay somewhere else, I should have done that. My room was dirty, holes in the walls and almost every metal surface was rusty/extremely tarnished. I stayed here two nights for a conference I was attending in the same building or I would have left. They have no working vending machines, just signs saying to go to the front desk for drinks/snacks, I have no problem with that other than the fact that 3/4 times that I went to get something to drink no one was around. They also do not have any restaurants on site, which the website states they do, so that was very disappointing. My shower was extremely stained and despite me trying to clean it just remained looking gross, I also could not get the temperature above look warm. My room was extremely loud at all hours of the day, I was in a 3rd floor internal room that had a balcony over looking the pool, the balcony was also shared with the room next to me, that made me extremely uncomfortable, I don’t know what the pool hours are as I didn’t utilize it, but I was kept awake until way past 12am, having to be up by 5am this made for a very unpleasant experience both nights of my stay. This hotel is definitely not worth the price point, the area of town is also a bit shady, lots of empty alcohol containers spread throughout the property and some very interesting individuals walking around the property.

I really should have read the most recent reviews!! They are right!! This place is if the 1970s and depression and had a baby. It needs to be knocked down, you can't even renovate at this stage. The furniture is falling apart, part of the bedside table is missing and the chest is all banged up. The shampoo and lotions seemed watered down?? Etc. I'm traveling for work on a grant and won't switch hotels because I need to save money for the good cause I serve. If it was my money, I'd be outta here. Only good thing is that the bed seems fine. But I'm really tired.
