Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Southern Pines Pinehurst

It was like “Lipstick on a pig”. Outside looked welcoming. Lobby was clean and inviting. Clerk was polite. All went south when we went to the room. It was like Wyndham purchased a cheap hotel and tried to do cheap fixes to make it pass for a hotel room. Walls, ceiling, and microwave were nasty, floors weren’t clean especially in corners, toilet felt like it was falling apart when you sat on it, and the pressed-wood furniture was falling apart. First thing we saw was the nasty room phone. Made us really start wondering after that. Someone even removed the battery in the smoke alarm. Never again.

ZERO stars!! My family and I booked a room here this past Saturday for a one night stay. We are extremely traumatized by our experience . This hotel was THE most nastiest, dirtiest, disgusting, & deplorable hotel ever booked in all of my 42 years. Staring with the room. I pulled back the sheets on my bed and was immediately met with dried nasty old piss, stains. You could tell the housekeeper just changed the top blanket and not the sheets. The piss stains were so bad it seeped through the mattress. (No mattress cover) That mattress needs to be burned & burned again. But that’s not all.. All of the wood Trim on the doors, and furniture were peeling off. The overhead lights and windows were filthy, the bathroom was hideous, and the window curtains were dirty. We booked three rooms and during booking I specifically noted we needed all three rooms to be on the top floor well Upon check-in the front desk clerk blatantly lied and stated we could not have a room on the top floor because they were renovating but when ask the manager again the next day she told us that was a lie. And that we couldn’t have a room on the top floor because a business had already booked the rooms out for a month. None of which were explained on their website. This was just an extremely horrible experience overall. If I could give them zero stars, I would. This hotel needs to be shut down immediately. I will never in my life, book a room with Wyndham ever again. And I would advise to the same for everyone else.

This is the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever tried to stay at, and I do mean tried! It took the girl at the desk 20 minutes, just to get the computer to work then we were given a room that smelled like it belong to Smokey the bear then we requested another room and it smelled like dog urine and the sheets were damp. I asked for my money back and they Would not return my money so I suggest to you that you move on and find a cleaner hotel and a hotel that cares about service because this one is not it !

I stayed here on a Sunday night. Quiet location. Beautiful contemporary style lobby and breakfast area. I value a clean bed and bathroom above all else. This motel met my expectation. I reserved a handicapped room even though I am not handicapped. I have found that these rooms are less used and more likely to be clean. I had room 123 at the end of the long left hall. I will definitely return.

Hotel is very professional and made check in and check out very easy.The staff makes you feel apart of the family.
