La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Raleigh Crabtree

The lobby is nice, the staff is friendly (except for the Manager), however, there was litter at the lobby entrance and broken glass in the driveway (which we reported on the second day we saw it and it was cleaned up.) Didn't try breakfast, have no opinion. The hotel is supposedly under renovation and it surely needs it! The inner automatic front entry doors didn't work. Not a single night were both elevators (less than cleanly) operational. Peeling wallpaper, stained carpet, broken light fixtures, patched walls. Supposedly security walks the halls at 9pm to quell any noise, but we heard it all at all hours: loud TV, loud music, loud talking in the halls, children screeching, adults arguing loudly in their room, dogs barking. The hotel is posted as 100% Smoke Free, but no one is enforcing that as we smelled both pot and cigarette smoke in the halls. We wanted a place within walking distance to Crabtree Mall, which it is, but we should have read the reviews. While it was inexpensive, it's a dingy place with too many inconsiderate guests around during our three night stay.

The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. Compared to other hotels I was impressed by the staff all around. The only issue was the elevator wasn't working as far as going down from 5th floor so that was my only issue with this hotel.

Terrible hotel. Broken bedroom heater, called the front desk and was told no maintenance person on staff at that time. Pot smoke on our floor in the hallways. Crappy breakfast choices. Overall very shabby appearance both inside and our. We won’t be back.

We Didn’t stay, we were refused our refund. A couples get away turned out to be a $500 lost. $50 of that was the refund insurance. Which by the the way doesn’t cover Nasty! Place was so Nasty!! Didn’t make it into the elevator, to many red flags. Guy working didn’t ask why. We we asked for a refund. Which he denied. Their corporate office should close this place down.

This hotel is in the middle of renovations. So things are probably not as smooth as would be typical. The front desk person bent over backwards to make sure that The room I was assigned was imperfect working order! Thank you for the bar in the bathtub. Not all hotels have these in rooms that are not handicapped designated.
