BridgePointe Hotel & Marina

GREAT PLACE TO VISIT, GREAT STAFF AND FRIENDLY CAREING PEOPLE. CLEAN ROOMS AND GROUNDS. WILL SURELY USE THEM AGAIN. VERY CLOSE TO EVERYTHING, DOWNTOWN NEW BERN JUST ACROSS THE BRIDGE , GREAT FOOD IN OLD TOWN ALSO OUT BACK RIGHT NEXT DOOR. EASY WALK

This is our second stay at the Bridgepointe Hotel and Marina and it was a continuation of our first stay. Great! Clean. Friendly staff. Great views of the Trent and Neuse rivers. We were able to grill out on their BBQ grills and celebrate my wife and sister's birthdays while sitting at the picnic tables. Breakfast was just right. It was disheartening that some guests were complaining about the breakfast which was complimentary and solid with fruit, instant oatmeal, waffles, eggs, sausage and bacon and juices. We were thankful. The staff is always cordial. We love the draw bridge and walked across to the Mumfest! Thank you fir another great stay and for making our celebration that much more Lovely.

I stayed here from 6/26 - 6/28. During my stay my Apple ear buds were stolen from my room. There was also another guest that had the iPod ear bud case taken and another guest had change taken from his room all the same day. I filled out a police report but had no help from the hotel management even though it was reported to the front desk. They never contacted me and when I asked for reimbursement the manager said I had no proof and made no effort to make amends. The rooms need updating and I would recommend going elsewhere. Most of the help was friendly and helpful unfortunately not so much with the management.

Having been told the renovations have been completed, I ignored the recent negative reviews. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel as the musty smell in the room and hallways was just awful. For this reason I would never book this hotel again.

My wife and I stayed at the Bridgepointe Hotel and Marina for on night only on Memorial Day weekend. This was a last minute trip for us and we were happy to find a place to stay. The room we stayed in looked newly renovated. We had no issue with the furnishings or bedding. The bathroom was nice and appeared clean. The hotel is going through renovations but it did not interfere with our stay. We got a great price for the night we stayed and I don't think it would have been as nice if we had to pay the going rate for the night we stayed which was a Saturday night. The hotel is located very close to the downtown area so you can't beat the location. The only cons we can say were that there was never any hot water in the shower at night or during the day. At best it was luke warm. The water from the sink was steaming hot though. The best breakfast was maybe the only other area lacking. The hot food consisted of eggs and very thin bacon, make your own mini waffles, and thats it. They did have cereal, yogurt, bananas, and muffins. The coffee was very weak and not very good. The breakfast sufficed but for the price to stay at this hotel, it should have been much better. There are much better options in the area but if you can get a room at a good discounted price, it should work for you.
