Candlewood Suites Jacksonville an IHG Hotel

This place was a dump. There were unattended children running up and down the halls. They gave us a room on the third floor within telling us the elevator was out of order. The carpet and furnishing are in dire need of being replaced. Overall, it just felt felt and looked dirty and disgusting. We ended up leaving and not staying the night because we felt it was unsafe.

I used points and that determined where I stayed. It is a much older hotel that could use a lot of love. The fresh coffee was good. The bed was hard but truly just not good condition. I like having a tiny kitchen even though I didn’t use it much. Just beware that there is room for remodel and upgrades.

The hotel was great friendly front desk staff . Clean non smoking facilities gym ,laundry and business center the room are clean and well stocked. Housekeeping did a great job Not the ritz but not a no name budget one either The hotel could use some updating

The place does what it is supposed to do. It is a good place for a few nights while I'm transit that is well within budget that is not run down. The front staff (the ladies at least) were very nice, professional help make an average stay into a good stay. Good points 1. Free parking and seemed safe. 2. Free coffee 3. Nice kitchenette if you need it 4. Value for money Less than great points 1. It is a budget hotel. Don't expect a lot 2. Room condition could be better (especially the bathroom) All in all, I stayed here due to IHG loyalty and price point. It did what it was supposed to do and I can't complain about anything.

After a horrific experience at a Marriott hotel down the road, we came over to this one. The manager there was very kind and respectful and did everything she could to help us! we were traveling with a large family and she was very sympathetic to what happened to us at the other hotel and made sure our stay at Candlewood was pleasant. The staff there were also very kind and amazing! The rooms we had were cleaned well and fresh. No issues. highly recommend for customer service alone. Only a few downfalls, there is no pool, and there is no complementary breakfast. There is 24/7 coffee for free and a small store that has some snacks for purchase. However, for the price of the rooms, its still well worth it!
