Motel 6 Poplar Bluff MO

The girl at night check in was very sweet although she was busy. There was fighting between other customers in the lobby. I came back to check on her and she was thankful. Very sweet girl. The day time front desk was awesome! I left my wedding ring in the bathroom. When I called, he promptly went up to retrieve it for me and had it ready when I got there. So very grateful to him. Everyone we encountered that worked there was nice. The rooms are very clean, and comfortable. For the price it’s a great place to rest your head for a few days. Also no pet charge was great. We have 2 dogs we travel with and it’s nice not to spend a lot of extra money for them to travel with us. Thank you guys! You do a great job!

I will start out by saying the hotel was clean, so if all you care about is a clean room to get a few hours sleep, you will probably be okay. But - no coffee in the rooms or the lobby (and no place close to buy a cup), the site listed a "breakfast item" so we were expecting a muffin or something, but nothing, no hairdryer, a tiny bar of soap )no shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Only one of 3 ice makers working, phone in room didn't work to call the front desk. It is on a dark road outside of town with no restaurants close by. I would not stay again.

The front desk employee was very friendly. There was a very nice vending/market area in lobby. The hallway carpet was filthy and was full of animal hair and some sort of straw . There was a strong odor of cat urine in the hallway. The towels and wash cloths were thin and tattered. The pillow cases on one bed were all inside out making us wonder if they were laundered. The window screen was pushed out and the sliding window was open. We popped the screen back in,, closed the sliding winfow and locked it. The toilet, after flushed made a loud, gurgling nosed that lingered for awhile. The ice machine on the 1st floor was out of order. No hair dryer in room. Asked for one at the front desk and they had one. The price for the stay was not a very good value...especially for a Monday night....no extra amenities such as breakfast. However, theybdid have coffee. Overall the room itself was pretty clean. Wouldn't recommend.

We were very surprised to find a Motel 6 this nice. Clean, comfortable, great location. Would stay here again. Beds and bedding were nice, refrigerator, flat screen TV, free wi-fi, free parking. No breakfast but I don't usually eat the free breakfast anyway .. There are a lot of options nearby. Great service!

Stayed in room 104 with 1 queen bed. Small, but pretty clean. Dana at check-in was very nice. Battery cover missing on tv remote. Thin sheets, pillows/pillow cases, and blanket. Bath towels pretty thin and small (even for me and I'm 4'11"). No where to hang towel near tub/shower so I moved the chair near the bathtub and draped my towel over it. Bathtub was a little slippery so be careful. Bring shampoo/conditioner, body wash if you prefer that over a bar of soap, and a hair dryer since there isn't one in the room. Small, square mini fridge. Like the little table in the room with small nook seat...gave us a place eat and play cribbage. Microwave in lobby but no paper towels near the sink (even after reporting the dispenser was empty). First floor ice machine was not working. Pretty pricey for a Motel 6, but it was right after the eclipse so maybe it's less $ at other times. Would not really want to pay that much again for a Motel 6.
