La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Univ Area Chapel Hill We arrived Friday evening for a two day stay, Rented room 422. The desk clerk did not inform us of any need for us to have to request any services. The room air conditioner was noisy but tolerable. We returned Saturday evening and saw the room had not been serviced, beds unmade towels not replaced. We called the front desk and the clerk told us we would need to request that the room be serviced. This is the first hotel we ever stayed that had this policy. We then proceeded to request that the room be serviced the next day. On Sunday morning we called the front desk again and requested the room be serviced, we were told the room would be serviced between 1:00 and 2:00 PM. We returned Sunday evening and the room still had not been serviced: trash cans were full, towels were not replaced, beds were unmade. We called the front desk and complained and we were told if we wanted clean towels we would need to come to the front desk and pick them up as there was no one available to deliver them. When we complained toe the desk clerk when we checked out Monday we requested some consideration for our discomfort and we were told she would have to contact the owner about it. A couple of days later we received a call from the desk clerk advising us the owner offered points toward a future stay. Talk about chintzy! We have stayed at many hotels over the years and this is the worst customer service ever

Always a nice stay here. Staff is respectful. Breakfast is good; lots of variety. Rooms are clean and smell good. Beds are comfortable. Lots of tv channels. Convenient location to lots of activities and restaurants. Well lit parking lot and safe area.

Good, affordable, family friendly place to stop for 2 nights. Beds were not very comfortable though, they seemed like old mattresses. The double beds were also pretty small. Pool area could use some work, but the water seemed clean and was fine for the kids.

New mattresses this year added to the comfort. The large room had an oversized desk which was nice. Staff is efficient and pleasant to deal with and the breakfast is good with hot and cold items. The location is convenient to Duke and our daughters so is perfect for our needs.

Bed bugs manager was very rude after I brought them down to the front desk when I was getting bed at 1:45 am the night shift was very apologetic the manager pretended like it didn't happen and was rude the entire time I was there with my child I'm disgusted
