No laundry services even though trip advisor and the website both state there is. We are traveling for my husbands job so itâs a bit of an inconvenience to have no on site laundry. Got a good deal-$67 a night for a double bed room. Lighting in room not great without natural light. Phone in room is disconnected and one lamp has a short circuit in it. Fire alarm went off during our stay but just sounds like a phone alarm so we slept through it. Doesnât announce fire or anything. Overall clean and decent place to stay just not exceptional. If was traveling for a vacation I would probably choose to stay somewhere nicer. We did not have a lot of housekeeping done but I was impressed of the fact that when I put the trashes out in the hall to be changed they hung a clean towel set in a bag for us. Good place to stay if booking in a bind like we did or just want a basic stay.

We always stay at Comfort Inns, but this one was a big disappointment. The toilet barely worked, the luggage cart could not the steered or fit in the room, and the promised Grab and Go breakfast never appeared. Only decaf tea bags were available and the coffee was weaker than weak tea! I was also charged for an in room safe that I neither asked for or used. We will not stay here again! This specific hotel is a stain on the good reputation of Comfort Inns.

Drug deals taking place in the parking lot. When asked for a refund because I felt unsafe I was told I would have had to ask 24 hours in advance to get a refund. My advice is stay far away from here. Dirty, awful customer service and an unsafe environment.

The area this hotel is located in seems safe enough and is near Interstate 40, and the building and grounds are well kept. The hotel itself and our room was very clean. We were greeted by a friendly front desk person. We did notice right away that the lobby and adjoining common room was kept dark. The breakfast room is small and was very crowded and hard to navigate with so many people there. Food was okay but not up to par compared to other Comfort Inns or hotels in general. At check in we were told there was a $100.00 hold put on our credit card for incidentals that would be released at check out. I questioned this as I have never encountered this before. It appeared to be charged to our account but I was assured it was just authorizing the amount and only the room rate would be charged and the $100.00 released. At checkout the next morning we were told it would take 3 business days, starting on Monday, we checked out on Saturday, to have the $100.00 go back on our account. So they did charge the account and issue a credit. After getting checked in and changing into more comfortable clothes we went to the general area where the t.v. and tables are to eat a sandwich and watch the news. We found a child in the room watching t.v. so we sat and ate quietly. Later in the evening we returned to the room to play cards to pass the time. There was not a table and chairs in our room to use, which is usual. The rooms were dark, the child was still there watching t.v. and there was a couple sitting in the darkened breakfast room watching us. We believe they are the owners. This was very creepy. We found a light switch and played cards. Instead of feeling welcomed we felt like intruders. We later learned that this child belonged to the front desk clerk. He was allowed to monopolize the common area that should be for paying guests while his mother worked. Upon returning to our room we had a chance to really look around and discovered the pole lamp is missing a lamp shade and the smoke detector is disconnected. This was disconcerting. The bathtub had a Large chip out of the bottom and the imprint of a bathmat showed prominently on the bottom of the tub. These things show lack of concern on the owners part. The beds were comfortable but not pillow top like some hotels. We did sleep well. If you are looking for a clean place to sleep but nothing more then this should suit just fine. The price is about $10.00 cheaper than a better Comfort Inn we had stayed in, also in Durham. However, I would opt for the more expensive hotel just for the safer feeling and better care of the premises. We also have decided that we will never agree to this "hold" of money again.

I have not even left and I feel I must warn others. I had by far the worst hotel experience and little sleep. The hotel may have been renovated but they have just tried to cover up what is fairly worn and even a suspicious hole in the bathroom partially hidden under a picture . Additionally, the room smelled strongly of a fragrance, most likely to cover up bad smells which left me with a migraine. But the worst part was the noise. It is so close to the interstate that all I heard all night was car and truck noise. I asked for a quiet room and was placed halfway down the building on supposedly the quiet side. The noise never stopped even with a pillow over my head. And I had misfortune of being placed next two rooms which at 3 oâclock in the morning decided to start socializing, speaking loudly, going in and out of doors clicking them loudly. Absolutely no consideration for those around them. Just as I was about to call the front desk, they stopped. To say I got little sleep is an understatement. The hotel was clean, The bed was comfortable, the TV was big and the staff was nice but I hate that I paid $88 to not sleep and to be miserable. If you want a good nightâs sleep, avoid this hotel at all costs. It may be worth paying a little extra to stay somewhere else. The road noise is intolerable!!!
