SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte Southwest

Nice chain but found this location a little underwhelming. Was difficult to understand lady at the front desk. Location as its right off the freeway is good for Carowinds but is directly in the flightpath of the airport. Breakfast was really lacking for this type of property with no pancakes or waffles which seem to be the norm and almost all chain restaurants. Coffee was empty and had to ask to fill it up. What a fantastic stay! We were only there overnight (regrettably) but the room was spotless, roomy and comfortable. Michael at the front desk, was personable, informative, helpful and so pleasant. The hotel is situated in a very good area where it’s an easy drive to shop or eat. We will definitely stay here again anytime we are in this area of Charlotte! Breakfast is always a plus and the coffee was fresh and hot.

My family decided to stop randomly at this hotel late in the night on our trip. We used the app to book a pet friendly hotel since we brought our dog. We used points for the stay and I was pleasantly surprised. I think the breakfast was close to a 2 or 3 outta 5 but it was not bad and got the job done. There were a few large grassy areas for my dog to walk around. The regular queen rooms were large rooms and had plenty of space. There was a nice coffee shop within walking distance straight out from the hotel. The staff were friendly. We had issues logging into the wifi but it worked once I asked front desk. They said they were having issues and told us how to do it. Overall, for a quick overnight in the middle of a long drive this hotel was perfect.

Came here with my wife, daughter and 1yr old grandchild and left with mixed feelings. The room was clean and spacious and AC functional, but one of our mattresses sagged a bit, and some of the room lights did not work. Most disappointing, however, was the quality of the breakfast. Although the coffee was good, the scrambled eggs were downright awful, hard and plasticy. All things considered, for the money spent, not a good value.

I only stayed here because it's right next to the office I was visiting. Pleasant and quiet area, has not much nearby in terms of places to walk to/dine at. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was the saddest thing I've ever seen, really poor, not many options, plastic cutlery, all extremely basic. When we arrived they adviced us not to use the water from the tap as it would come out brown as part of a City inspection or something like that, would have been nice to give away some free water bottles to at least brush our teeth. Will probably have to stay here again, I only hope breakfast improves significantly
