Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte Uptown

This is a great place with huge rooms. You have everything you need. The location to downtown Charlotte is perfect and in walking distance of everything. The price is super affordable too. Awesome breakfast. Affordable and delicious menu. Shout out to Ms. Shirley who is fabulous, accommodating and goes the extra mile.

Nice clean, large rooms with a yummy breakfast each morning. There was a large assortment of food each morning and was always kept full and clean. Shirley the worker was top notch at maintaining and managing this area. Front desk was nice and friendly as well.

Marriott delivered a first-class experience from the front desk to housekeeping. I want to give a special shoutout to Shirley, who prepared our breakfast each morning. Her warm smile and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. Thanks to Marriott for hiring such quality staff!

You get what you get when a property is in such a great location. Parking was super convenient and the breakfast was as expected. Staff was polite and friendly. The room was a problem and needed maintenance. Reserved a room with a King and Queen bad and ended up with two Queens. Sofa bed was broken and we needed to do some work to get it to open and lay flat. Shower was one of the worst I've used - bad water pressure, soaked the bathroom floor, and shower head was too low. Bathroom fan was ridiculously loud. Room was clean but carpet needed a cleaning.

If you want to be greeted by a person who is extremely rude this is the place for you… 90 plus nights at Marriott properties this year and this is the only place that I had a problem. From the second you walk in the door you are greeted by Donna who acts as if you are bothering her and that she is doing you a favor by checking you in. Hopefully management works with or changes staff to ensure a proper Marriott experience. Otherwise hotel is in a great location and is nice and clean.
