Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte Ballantyne an IHG Hotel

The location worked great for needing to commute to Waverly area. Staff was personable, hotel was clean an quiet. Pool area was nice to relax around (pool was closed for winter). Walking distance to Sprouts grocery. Inviting lobby to hang out in with many options of games and seating.

I rarely review “ Value” hotels but this one is in a better class and needs to be noted. In a very nice suburb of Charlotte, it appears to be only about 3-4 years old according to elevator permit. The rooms were spacious , perfectly clean and arranged really well. Microwave, Fridge, Nice TV , desk, chaise , etc. Bath clean with all amenities. Easy walk across parking lot to Mod Pizza or McAlisters Deli and Sprouts as well. About 30 minute UBER from CLT. Pleasant , knowledgeable staff and good breakfast. A great “value” hotel if in this area.

Excellent new-build facilities, with spacious and extremely clean rooms and bathroom. Great range of Dove toiletries and comfy bedding. Very good range of breakfast items included, with a lovely pool and large-ish gym area. The centre that the hotel is located in has a health foods grocer, a pizza restaurant, and a sandwich place - so all very useful to avoid needing to drive far away for a bite. Easy access to I-485. Downsides for me were that the breakfast is heavily reliant on single-use plastics of all sorts. It would be worth their considering using washable dishes and cutlery! There were also overflowing trash bins in the hallways, which I suppose is the fault of the guests and not staff, but was a sharp contrast to the otherwise very clean hotel. TVs a bit small for the large room size. On the whole, would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for one night while traveling. Very modern hotel with nice staff. Rooms and grounds were spotlessly clean. Breakfast is your standard IHG fare but free coffee is always good. One of the staff members personally delivered bedding for us as they overbooked but worked to provide us with a solution. Would highly recommend staying here.

This was a good stay, good enough that we extended our stay another night. We were checked in by the phenomenal Bree, whose patience and professionalism dealing with a Priceline issue was superb, and settled in for the night. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with good, full-sized pillows on the bed. Wi-Fi connected easily and worked well, and we slept well. Definitely recommended.
