Hampton Inn & Suites Charlotte Airport Lake Pointe

CAR BREAK-INS OCCUR NIGHTLY! Do not stay here if you are parking a vehicle for their $10 fee. The police officer who took my incident report told me this hotel gets it EVERY NIGHT by kids breaking into vehicles. It is right next to the worst neighborhood in Charlotte for crime.

I was traveling with a sports team of 22 teenagers and 3 adults, our flight was canceled and we booked 13 rooms in a matter of minutes. Kayleigh, who was working the front desk when we showed up at midnight on Sunday was incredible to work with. Not only did she get the 13 rooms checked in very quickly, she went above beyond the call of duty providing shuttle service for all 25 of us when all the shuttles were already booked by other stranded travelers. The world of customer service needs more people like Kayleigh!! Thank you Kayleigh for a making a very stressful time for a coach, a very seamless transition!!

The hotel was great it still looks brand new. The Hampton shares the same building as the Tru which I thought was nice. The bar tender Lauren was great. The bar is in the Tru lobby. The bathroom was clean and very nice with a glass shower. All of the employees I came in contact with were great I will definitely be back. Parking is $10 a night.

Ordered room through a third party website and was not made aware at all that you had to pay for parking. I completely understand the need to charge someone to allow them to leave their vehicle at the premises un-attended while they are away. But to charge someone a parking fee this far from downtown while they are actually staying at the hotel is ridiculous. Just another way to get extra money. The parking lot was half full while we were checked in. Definitely will not be staying there again. It would be better to stay in a more affordable hotel and drive to the airport and pay $10 parking fees per 24 hours there. Extremely disappointed that companies who pride themselves on service and hospitality continue to find ways to take advantage of people. This location is not downtown, parking is not limited here, and that is why most people choose to stay here. Wouldn't recommend.

Conveniently located near the Charlotte Airport. There is a free shuttle to get you back and forth from the airport. This worked well for me as I had a long overnight layover. Some issues getting picked up at the airport as construction caused major traffic issues with an hour long wait for the shuttle, but it was the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving. Luckily, I was able to hop a ride with another shuttle headed to a different hotel adjacent to the Hampton and they were kind enough to drop me off considering all the chaos. The shuttle in the morning went much smoother. Room was large and comfortable. I had a brief but good night's sleep.
