Hey to whom this my concern Choice Hotels /mainstay suite Cary Raleigh NC I checked in with help from an unknown manager, because of the time I arrived I was in Raleigh to cover a unknown unspecific investigation for a reader of the United states press agency/Mack11media digital news I recall after a few hours I noticed a large object on the carpet it indeed was a water bug I got up got out of bed had to run downstairs to alert staff ... When I arrived to explain what happened, the young lady at the desk was very nonchalant about it she quickly offered another room adjacent to that room ...Switched room ASAP ...By switching room My travel companion and colleague was sleepy and left there iPhone and original OEM iPhone charger. In that room we was in with the water bug. Housekeeping was kind to return the phone but not the iPhone charger. I don't know what's going on at these hotels with them keeping people's items but this is what's been going on at most of the hotels these days .....

My husband and I stayed at this location 01/10/23. To begin with, we had trouble checking in due to computer issues. I asked if they had a public restroom in the lobby and was told ānoā. Returning to our room that even around 11pm. Went to bed. Woke up during the night to go to the bathroom, and turned on the lamp above the bed. Roaches were crawling on nightstand. Walking into bathroom cut lights on, and floor was āmovingā with baby roaches. This was near 4 am. Bed was advertised as a queen, and obviously was not. Also advertised a breakfast. There was no breakfast at all. Upon asking about this, they said breakfast hasnāt been offered there in quite some time. This Hotel clearly lacked adequate customer service, and could certainly use some TLC, and a lot of visits from a health inspector and or exterminator. Pictures to support this review are included

THERE IS NO PROFANITY IN THIS POST- please stop rejecting this entirely accurate post . The biggest concern was after booking and reserving online, they would not allow me to use my spouseās card that we reserved it with, having to cancel and rebook at check in. All the info matched up, but itās like 1974 here, and Iām pretty ticked off implying Iām a lowlife criminal trying to steal a night at this infested hole. The carpet and decor certainly matched 1974, as did the trickling āwater saving ā shower head and the AOL online phone jacks with no USB ports. Loved the 20 channel basic cable that didnāt match the guide, but grateful that the amount of weed floating through the place got me buzzed enough that sleeping with the roaches seemed tolerable.

I was assaulted in the parking lot by a mentally Iāll guest while I was unloading my luggage to check-in . I witnessed the mentally Iāll guest try to attack a delivery driver prior to him attacking me. The staff at the hotel knew about the aggressive and threatening behavior of this mentally Iāll guest but didnāt do anything about it to keep other guests safe. I thought the mentally Iāll guest had left but then he suddenly appeared and punched me in the face. I called the police. The general manager promised to refund my bill and to help me with another future stay in order to provide customer service. He told me that he gave me his word that he would follow through to provide this service. Turns out he betrayed his promise and he reneged on refunding my bill and became hostile to me when I brought it up with him. Not only are there dangerous mentally ill people staying at this hotel who will assault you, but the management is negligent in their duty to protect their guests, is unprofessional, has low character, and all together - like this hotel - rotten. Donāt stay there.

Itās a average budget room. It needs a bit more updating other than some paint they threw on. The furniture in the room was run down but the bed was comfortable. It did what it needed. The staff was nice. I really appreciated the conversations I had with them. There was only 3 major issues I had. It was hard to find. It is tucked away off buck Jones road and I didnāt see many if at all signage. My gps took me a long rounded way. It needs more direction signage The hallway o was in smelled like āfunny cigaretteā at all times. I donāt know if people were smoking or it just a stagnant smell. They said there was a bagged breakfast but I never saw it out nor didnāt see anyone at the time to ask
