Boone visitors can hike in nearby Elk Knob State Park, only 10 minutes from downtown, and tour the nearby Daniel Boone Native Gardens. Guests can ski or mountain bike in nearby Sugar or Beech Mountain Resorts, or take a ride on the Tweetsie Railroad.
