The Meadowbrook Inn is a warm, welcoming hotel. Nice people, very clean and comfortable, with a great location. Great full breakfast as well. Highly recommend for a getaway. The grounds are also well kept with local flora and wildlife abounding.

Our family has stayed at the Meadowbrook many times over the past twenty years. It was a nostalgic, happy place for our kids, but this time they were disappointed. They have a beautiful pool that is not operational and based on comments here, has not been operational for a while. This should be transparent. I wish I had noted that in other reviews. Contrary to what the wrinkly sign says, I believe there has been a problem and not being up-front about that is poor business practice. On our last visit the pool was not heated but still enjoyable- maybe there is a malfunction or costs are being cut? You have an indoor pool in a mountain town, it is always cold in winter, and it worked in all the other winters we have visited. There was a hot tub many years ago. Sure miss that! We were offered 2 bottles of water or a bottle of wine and a pass to the Chetola. No thank you. If I wanted to go out in the cold to use the Chetola’s pool, I would have booked there. I’m kicking myself for letting the kids choose Meadowbrook over Chetola. Also, Meadowbrook is under newer ownership. Several neighboring properties are also owned by Savara Hospitality. I hope they pay more attention to the landscaping. This property is too beautiful to let it idle. If you don’t have kids who were looking forward to nightly swims, you’ll probably enjoy it. There was a time I would have recommended it highly.

The location is great - super easy to walk to everything in town and there is ample parking. We had a King Suite with a fireplace in the annex building. While the room was a nice size and the furniture was updated it could definitely have used a good deep cleaning. The little sitting area that was also in need of repair/cleaning. We ended up not really sitting there at all. This room came with a mini fridge, microwave and a Keurig type coffee maker which was convenient although since they do not do daily room cleaning service you need to get more coffee pods, cups, towels, etc. from the front desk or call to have them brought over. We did not use the pool but my husband went to the fitness center that was in a state of disrepair. None of the equipment was in working order, which was disappointing. We only did the breakfast one day...it was pretty basic but fine. We would consider staying here again if we came to visit but with less high expectations as the photos would infer.

What a fabulous place to stay! I stayed in the suite with the private therapy pool. I felt totally rejuvenated and full of vigor after swimming in blissfully warm water. The suite was good, with a comfortable bed, and it was worth every penny to be there in such a good location, close to everything downtown. Helpful staff, ample breakfast, great stay in every way.

I picked this hotel based on location and price and both were excellent. The hotel is right in downtown Blowing Rock so we were able to walk to restaurants and shops. The price was better then the place I usually stay in Lenoir. The hotel is a little tired, but was fine for our one night stay. They offer a hot breakfast in a ground floor space that was pretty good and one of the staff walked around offering very yummy hot out of the oven muffins. I would stay here again.
