Beaufort Harbour Suites

We had mixed reviews of our recent stay at Beaufort Harbor Suites. The room was very clean and the kitchen/ bath very nicely equipped. The carpet was clean but very worn. Liked the parking area underneath. Did not care for the lack of on-site lobby — bad eyesore there and “convention area” as both were filled with junk. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy and LOTS of loud construction vehicles early each morning. The bed was absolutely horrible and mattress SHOULD have been replaced years ago. My wife is still suffering muscle pains from trying to sleep in it — she finally moved to couch which was also very worn. Shower had NO pressure — more water was flowing out of faucet into the drain than what was coming out of shower head. Overall, it was ok, but certainly not what we had hoped for on a wedding anniversary trip!

If I could give this -5 stars I would: My husband, my mother and I stayed in the Beaufort Harbour East Suite and that was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. Upon entering the house we were immediately struck with a foul smell of mold and mildew. As the time in the house progressed my allergies kicked up and my husband's asthma was triggered. My mother and I were sitting on the couch and got chilled so I took one of the blankets off of one of the bunk beds to cover up with and it smelled so badly I threw it completely out of the house onto one of the chairs on the porch outside. Thank God we had sense enough to bring our own blankets and pillows. I wish we would have rejected the house altogether, but I wasn't sure we would've be able to find other accommodations at that point. In the future I will definitely do more research before accepting and staying in something like that. It was NOT a comfortable stay at all.

Very friendly staff and excellent value. The room had entire kitchen facilities, a nice little balcony, and a very nice shaded common area with tables, chairs, sofa etc. It's a short walk to downtown and to the nearby Homer Smith Marina. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Not a great experience. The sliding door to the balcony was broken, the window was missing a screen, and leftovers from the previous guests remained in the fridge when I arrived. The room also strongly smelled of cleaning agents (much more than typical of hotels). The manager was also incredibly rude when I asked to cancel the reservation.

Location is good, just a few blocks away from the main pier/road and right next to the main road into town. Important to know there is no office located on the premises, you have a to go down a couple blocks to check in and get your key. Area seemed safe and quiet. Each floor has huge balconies and outdoor areas. Our individual room didn't have a balcony. Bed was very uncomfortable.
