Element Asheville Downtown

My husband and I have stayed here since the night of Hurricane Helene, off and on, due to hurricane-related structural damage to our nearby home. From the moment we arrived, months ago, we have been so impressed by how friendly and caring the entire staff is, particularly Bill, the Assistant Manager. He goes out of his way to help us, and is so knowledgeable and friendly and caring. Karin. Also, has been so supportive. The rooms are great—roomy, huge showers, good toiletries, kitchenettes. We were so glad to have use of the fitness center, laundry room, indoor heated pool, patio area with two grills (!), and the daily complimentary lavish buffet breakfast. Another perk is the weekday wine/beer/cheese (bartended by Nate, one of our personal favorite people here), where we had many friendly conversations with other guests. Our stay is nearing its end, which saddens us. What a fabulous experience during a low period in our lives.

it is just not downtown and there is a constant noise from the interstate. Downtown is not even walkable. Neither is the river art district. The mattresses are very firm. Other than that the building and amenities are great. The shuttle service to down town is great as well ..but it only goes on Fridays and Saturdays. It is great for a road trip stopover to describe it best - weekend stay would be a stretch.

First time visit to Asheville, picked this one based on marketing and reviews. Free parking was handy, and the location made it easy to get in and out to the highways, but it was a long walk in and out from the centre of town and there wasn't really much to see along the way. Nothing wrong with the hotel itself, but we didn't find anything that made it stand out as special.

This is a fairly new hotel so it is very clean and shiny. The large lounge area on the second floor where breakfast is served is very nice, as is the included breakfast which even included some hot items. And the beer/wine/cheese Happy Hour every evening is also a bonus. Recommend you avoid the rooms at the end of the hallway toward the roads…we initially had a cornee room with two very large picture windows but unfortunately the hotel is located between two busy roads and the noise disturbed our sleep. They were very accomodating and moved us to another room the next day. Also, this hotel is a little ways from downtown, it is walkable but I wouldnt want to do that walk more than once a day. The front desk team was very kind and efficient.

Welcoming! Modern, , comfortable, spacious rooms. A welcoming old fashioned inn keeper atmosphere and attitude from the staff. Soli welcomed us and all the staff were kind, cared about whether we were comfortable and that was the feel of the place. A joy to stay here. Clean as a whistle! Safe. A nice little walk to great restaurants and shops in downtown Asheville. This hotel is indeed pet friendly. Also, good substantial evening snacks with wine, beer, hot tea available in a lovely lobby with outdoor seating. Good free breakfast too. This is definitely a hotel we have marked for a return stay. We have also recommended to our family already.
