Motel 6 Farmington NM

DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL EVER! I don't care HOW desperate you are. I have stayed here 3 years prior to this year and they were fine, Had some weird people hanging around but nothing to make me feel afraid. UNTIL THIS TIME - First off, they charge the full balance of your stay after 6pm / NOT just one night but the WHOLE stay / per front desk they will refund the rest uhhuh / 2. HVAC (A.C) was not working at all . i called on the 16th, 17th and 18th about the issue - ALL kept giving me BS reasons and no resolution- MANY complained about this as per google reviews about this property / 3. They charge a pet deposit which is refundable (I have AKC show dogs and that's why we were in town - NEVER have i ever been charged a deposit for my show dogs that was not disclosed . YEA... BAD business / 4. THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The night of the 18th after the dog show - I was trying to relax and got a phone call on the hotel phone thinking its front desk to tell me they are fixing the A/C. INSTEAD - I got some guy on the phone that said he would see me later, and he's coming by later (AT THIS TIME IM THINKING oh ok its the HVAC techs coming to look at the T-stat or something with the room, RIGHT?) WRONG! - I am hard of hearing and asked him to repeat himself which he did 4x. I hung up called front desk and asked about this - She made an excuse of she knew or thinks she knew who it was. I walked to the front desk to ask her directly, and the girl there said Oh he called for your room number and per Motel 6's policy we are to xfr calls to the room, If they ask by name we dont do that then. WHAT!!!! - She said he called from an outside line and didnt know who he was, At this point being a DV victim i said SEE YA, NOT ONCE! did Motel 6 offer for me to change rooms for the remainder of my stay, NOT ONCE try to compensate me for this issue. I left at 7:30pm Saturday May 18th because i didnt want to see if this guy would show up or not. I am so livid over this issue, and i filed a complaint with corporate - The Motel 6 did refund me my deposit - on the 20th for the $50, THEN ive got a pending deposit from there for 73.33 (One night stay) THEY should be compensating for the WHOLE weekend due to NO A/C. - security safety - IF YOU NEED TO STAY SOMEPLACE, DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL 6.

Stopped here for the night on our way back to Texas. This is one of the worst Motel 6 ever. Cold, no hot water, dirty linens and towels. And mask up!!! Don’t even pay $1 to spend the night here. They should pay clients for their courage instead.

We came to Farmington from Oklahoma to bury my brother-in-law’s remains, driving nearly 900 miles. I booked this room for a week. The first thing I found was a nasty, filthy microwave that I had to wash out before we could even use it. The back of the bathroom door had long hair stuck to it, and the floors were dirty. The water took 10 minutes to heat up - yes, I timed it. Our room was never cleaned, the trash was never taken out, our beds were never made or sheets changed, and we were never brought clean towels, and towels we did have in the room were dingy and dirty-looking. We suspect that the occupants of the next room were running a prostitution/drug ring as there were scantily clad girls standing outside the door and every 30 to 45 minutes a different male would show up as one was leaving. In the lobby was posted a large sign that said no visitors were allowed in the rooms other than the paid occupants. The room we stayed in was on the side of the building away from the office. High-lifted 4-wheel-drive pickups and low-rider cars drove through the parking lot at all hours of the night, music blaring. Each day, we drove to Aztec to where my brother-in-law’s property was to do some cleaning and every evening I had to go to the office to have the key-card reprogrammed so I could open the door. The heater made tons of racket and would not even heat up. It blew cold air only no matter how much I tried to adjust it. Extremely poor quality. We will never stay at a Motel 6 again.

I'd stayed at this Motel 6 before, so I got no surprises. A cheap, clean, relatively quiet room and a good night's sleep. Everything worked, but they could've tossed in some shampoo. Wish they'd bring back breakfast, too.

The outside grounds and parking lot is as clean as at any Motel 6 I have been to. This is a 1970s era Motel 6 building with really small rooms. Rooms are updated and clean. We stayed during Covid and we had as double bed but were expecting a queen. We could have had a queen if we moved upstairs. Not sure why but most rooms were empty during our stay with a sign at check in saying they were sold out. Parking lot was almost empty
