Courtyard by Marriott Farmington

Pros: lots of USB ports in the rooms and the beds were comfortable. Cons: almost too many to list. Starting with: refrigerator in room was unplugged, so we lost our first night's leftovers. Bar soap in bathroom was used and likely from a previous guest (who does that?) Despite the website stating the place was fully renovated, the pool has been closed for months. Website said the hot tub was open and I was even told that on the phone. It wasn't. Went to the fitness center and no heat (58 degrees at 8 a.m.) Overpriced bistro; I can't remember the last time I stayed at a decent hotel (and given the prices at this one) that didn't offer a complimentary breakfast, especially when you can walk to a Village Inn or Denny's that is less than 100 feet from the entrance. Skip their overpriced food and go elsewhere. I'm a recovering cancer patient and I selected this hotel for its amenities, despite the price. Courtyard by Marriott's standards sure have slipped. Next time: Hilton.

My 2nd or 3rd time staying at this hotel- friendly staff- and this time there was no construction and what they have done with the place is amazing! Great complementary breakfast! Nice outdoor area to sit and relax and a nice lobby to do the same when it is too warm outside and want to get out of your room. Plenty of places to eat at within walking distance! Thank you Courtyard Farmington for having me~

As a titanium elite, they let me check into my king room at 7am - super thankful after my redeye flight. Upgraded and refreshed bathrooms, bed was super comfortable, work space was new, and unlike older Courtyards, there was plenty of lighting and a large mirror in the room! Bartender at the bar was great at mixing craft cocktails (a bit of a surprise at the Courtyard, honestly). Only downside was the sad gym. Still, pretty solid for a Courtyard. I stay here pretty consistently when I’m in the FH area.

While the public areas were under renovation during our one night stay, everything was managed so that we had a very pleasant stay. The room was updated. The staff were pleasant. Love the comfortable bed and cushy pillows which offered several levels of firmness.

I would like to start with the positives. The employees are top notch. They provided great service. I was there for a conference with 4 catered meals. They were so yummy. The severs went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our experience. The cleaning staff worked hard to keep the property/rooms clean. The front desk workers, Ivy, could not have been more professional. Now, the negatives, which are not within the control of the outstanding employees. There is only one, very slow elevator. Everyone, cleaners and guests, must use unless you want to use the stairs. The ice machines worked sporadically. The pool/hot tub was not operating. The hallway to the conference area smelled of raw sewage. The conference rooms were hot. I know the property is under remodel, but in talking with other guests, this fact had not been made readily known before booking.
