Residence Inn by Marriott Syracuse Downtown at Armory Square

My wife and I stayed at the Residence Inn when we were visiting our son. It's your basic, comfortable hotel room, and we had a kitchenette. The hotel is centrally located, and paid parking is available. If the indoor parking spaces in the lot next to the hotel are full, you need to drive around the corner and park on the upper level. You should be aware that the ramp to this lot is unmarked.

Run down, dirty, old rooms. Stayed here before when it first opened and it was great, not sure what happened. There is a Starbucks on site, but I will tell you as a Starbucks connoisseur. It is definitely not Starbucks coffee but they charge you the Starbucks rates. When checking in the front desk was not helpful nor welcoming and rather rude. No explanation on where to park if the small main lot is full. Out front is littered with trash and cigarette butts everywhere. Not one ashtray in sight. We did get the two bedroom two bath suite with a little kitchenette and didn’t want to touch anything in the kitchen. Furniture had stains, windows were filthy. Looks like they are redoing the main hotel?

Hotel was dirty, towels are horrible, customer service had an attitude. This is not a good hotel. :( they only service rooms every other day and with a dirty room and horrible towels this would have been good to know. Breakfast was horrible and I would rather them not offer at all than serve what they did. It is not worth the money to stay here.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was professional and helpful. Breakfast selection was strong. Front desk staff noted my status (received points/gift accordingly) and provided a brief tour of the facility since it was my first time here.

The residence Inn in Armory Square is very strategically located with easy access to breakfast and dinner places . The Staffs are very friendly and corporative . The rooms and very clean and overall this is one of the cleanest Marriott location I have stayed in the recent past . Special thanks to Mark in the Front desk for his hospitality and definitely will come back again .
