My husband & I had a 2 day get away to Seneca Falls and stayed at the Gould Hotel. We have always wanted to visit the It’s a Wonderful Life Museum in Seneca Falls. We are seniors and have traveled extensively in the US and abroad. The Gould Hotel was wonderful! The building itself was quaint and charming. Our room was completely updated and very comfortable and clean. Terry at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for near by restaurants. Anthony (the hotel manager) was professional and delivered our continental breakfast to our room himself! There was nothing lacking about this hotel experience. We would highly recommend a stay at the Gould Hotel for an old fashioned, warm & welcoming atmosphere nestled in the heart of scenic and historic Seneca Falls! 5 Stars just doesn’t seem like enough to give to folks who really get it right for accommodating travelers!

Everyone who works there is friendly and professional . They’ve done a wonderful job of updating the hotel but keeping the old feel vibe it would have been 5 stars but our mattress had me on a ledge or down in the valley. Maybe replacing mattresses is next

I immediately felt some regret that we booked this place as I walked up the entry steps and saw a very worn looking door in need of a paint job. The ragged, dirty, torn U.S. flag didn't do much either to say "welcome guests" either. But once inside we found ourselves in a bright lobby that had a few pieces of eye catching on the walls and two very helpful, friendly people at the service desk. But then my stomach sank again once we entered a very ugly elevator with scratched doors and yet once again as we walked down a very dreary, dingy gray hallway with torn wallpaper. But happily, once we were inside of our 3rd floor destination, we saw a spotless, not unattractive bedroom which turned out to have a very comfortable king-sized bed. But where was the refrigerator we counted on immediately putting the food we were traveling with into? I had even called the night before to ask if we could check in early since I was so eager to get our food into a refrigerator. How about a microwave? But then I entered the bathroom and was delighted to discover that not only was it was very white, very bright, very clean but that the lighting was outstanding. We both slept like babies that night in our quiet room. Then, unfortunately, there was that breakfast which can only be categorized as substandard. Some fresh fruit, (apples I think) was on the buffet table. In addition, the offerings included bagels, packaged cereal lacking sufficient liquid, mainly plain yogurt and some cardboardy bars that were so bad they didn't even taste like food. There were no eggs (not even the fake ones), meat or cheese other than some packaged cream cheese and peanut butter to put on our bagels. This may have been the most uninspiring breakfast buffet I have ever had in a motel or hotel. Yet, the location was convenient, the parking was free and the staff lovely. A real mixed bag. FYI...my partner would have given The Gould 4 stars rather than three.

Lovely rooms in this quaint hotel in Seneca Falls. We were there for just one evening and we enjoyed it. Free parking in lot adjacent to building. Had a cocktail in the martini bar while listening to live music. Walked down the street to the famous bridge and had dinner at Sackett's Table. This hotel was quiet and great for a nights stay. One downside was the free breakfast was a little lackluster (bagels, granola bars, OJ, and oranges/apples. They were out of coffee). But there are not really other choices for breakfast nearby so we made do!

Anthony the manager of the Gould Hotel, sincerely cares about all of his guests. I had booked a room for two nights at the Gould but due to an unexpected power outage at the Inn we were booked at, we needed to find new accommodations prior to our booking. Anthony personally spoke to me late in the evening and assured me he would find a room for us. We arrived late that evening and were given a comfortable room. In addition, I had asked Anthony prior to my trip if he could send me any information regarding the wine trail and winery suggestions. His suggestions were outstanding in addition to the daily service, morning breakfast and overall friendly and efficient staff. I highly recommend staying at The Gould.
